They Are all guilty of Sloppyness sometimes, no matter the company.

The thing with SS & HT is they like to think themselves the Big boys and alas egos have now made them less on deliver and More on the income from paying punters.
Hence why we get flooded with Figures on Pre Order only to find we are waiting upon waiting upon waiting for a release. All the while they take the PO money and laugh at us praying for a release date.

I have been collecting 1/6th since a kid with the old Palitoy AM on and off.
Personally No One company has yet made the perfect figure that justifies the expenses we alas seem to pay with HT, SS and a few others.
All need a little work to be perfect but I do NOT mind doing the extra work just the originally price tag.

Look at HT Blade. Everyone claims its one of HTs best. Yet its wrong, as Blade doesn't wear Leather pants, head sculpt is actually challenged by cheap Marvel Studios 12" Blade from way back when on likeness to Snipes, plus a few other tidbits.
Yet people are willing to drop hundreds to get him into their collections and yes got him myself but have made the mods.

look at the Rubber muscled bodies, ED 209s with rubber rot issues, Iron Monger with the Hip issues and so forth.

With Snake I expect on the whole I will love it and am willing to do the extra work. Key questions are the distressed look on the jacket and headsculpt. However some bloody amazing head sculpts available of Snake as replacement options or just straight forward repaint as already said.

I just want mine NOW!! I have already made a few U.S.P.F. figures waiting to receive the new prisoner.

Where are these other custom headsculpts you speak of? One thing I can say is that SS, nailed it pretty close, unless AF, Play Toys or Dam toys or someone else makes a unlicensed figure, all we are going to get is the SS one. And the sculpt is pretty good not perfect but prob. as close as we are going to get.

Not going to promote the others but one stands out and has been around sometime as a head sculpt cast, then ebay has a few too. Net search will show the way.

Personally I am awaiting till in hand before I make any decisions concerning head sculpt. Photos do NOT always do justice and alas too many want Perfection from a manufactured item, which never happens.

Well, we're closer to the release date than we were the last time we got a push back notice. Perhaps he is now ready to ship in December? For once, it will be nice to get a Snake for Christmas. (;

well I think a full year is enough to make this figure, plus if they push it again, they might as well should cancel it (Not Really). I already paid two months of this figure and Im due soon for my third, So it better come out on early december.

^^^ I agree. Unless there is a definitive reason that is spelled out to the consumer, they need to finish the deal this time. My patience on this matter is over if for no reason other than the fact they are not explaining why this continues to occur. They're holding three quarters payment for product they are not producing. It's time to produce.

I got one figure limit, one interpretation is enough for me.I would like to make a cool collection. I respect people that have more than of the same figure but found it for me a waste of mone, but like I said I'm cool with it.

God this needs to come out already so that I can decide to get it or not, I hope to dear god that it gets the factory that they get to make the new Red 5 figure and comes out to be a grail piece, please SS its all I want for Christmas!

The Armory one?(Its still not out!?) I hate that they send em to videogame sites instead of legit figure reviewers, but I guess exposure is a good thing?

No, the comic version was sent to a couple reviewers and the Uncharted figure was sent to kotaku a month before it started shipping.

What I find odd is that you can order this still on flex for a 4 month payment( until feb). Usually when an item is close to being in our hands, its only a two payment option ( or ss changed how they do stuff because people are not ordering as much). I canceled mine after Drake, but I'm still waiting on one for my 2013 Spook winner.

^^^ It's hard to know on that pay cycle. I believe some figures get that just to push inventory along. I think SS is taking orders on their second production order so there may be a surplus on that second order. I have no doubt there is a sizable Escape from New York base, but two production cycles before the first one has even been released? My thinking is the demand must have been higher than they originally anticipated. I'm wondering too if that played a role in the push back, because they adjusted production volumes and decided to ship everything at once and not stagger the orders. But having speculated for months, we are at the eleventh hour of release, so my hope is SOMETHING will start showing soon. I do believe if they ship without any early release shots, that means they stuck with what they have and decided to forego any early criticisms before they have secured all their pre-order cash. There's a blue million scenarios as to why all this happened. My last consideration is that they pushed back for quality improvement. Had the pre-orders been light, that might have encouraged them to rethink the design. I don't think that's an issue on this figure.

With only 1 more week left in November I was hoping we would have started getting 14 day notices by now. I was really hoping that this would be released at the beginning of December, but I bet it won't be out until mid to late December (assuming it doesn't get pushed into 2015).

I think it will be passable, but there is always a chance it will be another Drake.
