I like the AF clothing a lot. It's very effective at giving the impression of well worn leather. The only thing I'm not using for Max is the body and head - the body I'd too tall for Hardy.

I have it all on a TTM19 style muscle body. The only problem has been waiting for the Brother Production head.

I like the VTS shinier leather for variation, and that it recalls the original Max.

Can you confirm Art Figures uses fabric jacket? what about the rest of the accessories & weapons, are Arts Figures better, hope you can be precise as i might combine both together and i don't want to remove the accessories too much to risk breaking them.

Also i read you use knock off TT, is it too skinny or good?

Yes, the AF is a non-pleather fabric.

Everything in the set looks good and well made, can't say they're better because I don't have the VTS yet.

I think it was packed very much like the VTS, in that you have to assemble all the accessories onto the figure.

The body was probably a ZC Toys TTM19 muscle type, and I think it looks fine with the clothing:

is this the same it's not ZC though. does yours appear more muscular and does it come with plastic or rubber upper and is the neck piece 1 piece with the torso or switchable?

No, that's a regular TTM18 narrow shoulder type.

What I used was this, or its equivalent since there are a few companies making this style:

The clothes on that Art figure looks good. Before, I thought it looked horrible. So you guys are receiving your guy's figures next week? I have to wait a little more than 1 week I think.

The Art clothes do look great. First time I watched Fury Road I actually thought Max was in fabric clothes.

This body is too tall

The body I have is 12" tall from the soles of his boots to the top of the hair. The boots have quite a big heel on them.

Optimum height for a Tom Hardy in 1/6 would be 11.46" without boots. The heels on boots are a little over 1/4" high.

At worst he's 1/4" too tall. And if you're fussy that can be fixed by taking the pegs out of the ankles.

In fact, I think my temporary heads are sitting a little too high anyway because of the design of them.

It was either the ZC body, or this one:

Whatever it is it's comparable to the ZC that I put Tanis Digs Indy onto yesterday.

So did i because it was so weathered. It still does look like it is made of fabric in the pics from the movie

Well, it IS made of fabric. It just looks very much like worn out leather. A very sensible choice by AF I think and the outfit and weathering as a whole is very hard to beat.
My order status with KG just updated to 'awaiting shipping' so guess ill soon know which material I personally prefer.

Mine as well. The truck must have got through early.

Immortan Joe's attempts to prevent this figure from ever seeing the light of day were...mediocre.

That's good to hear. I was thinking of buying the Crazy Racer outfit at the store, so I checked, but it's sold out. Oh well

so did you use the one you posted or the new one you posted?

also do you know any cheap ways of getting tall foot pegs? seems foot pegs are pretty rare & expensive compared to hand pegs, and long ones are even more expensive.

got myself 1 pair last time from the HT Arnold, but now they cost too much. good way for small height boost compared to getting a tall body.

Immortan Joe is dead. Warboys are gone. The only way to stop Max, is to wait for Mad Max 2.

why not buy the full set since it's just double the price of the outfit but you get full figure & accessories.

Looking at the colour of the neck it's the Hit Figure, but size wise they're the same.

The price came down a bit on the ZC so I ordered another one to use instead.

Don't know about tall pegs, they always seem to be expensive for a couple if bits of plastic.

You can gain a bit of height for free by pulling the pegs out of the legs, putting blu tack on the top and resting the legs on top of them.

nah, I rather not. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

your loss then. the pleather jacket's gonna break sooner or later. it's still not expensive now to get the AF set because most people haven't got their VTS set yet.

once they do they will realize the VTS ain't the best set and they start hunting the AF set and the price goes up even more.

if i were you i would get the AF set and get the VTS sculpt because VTS will be widely available & cheaper to get 1 head compared to AF clothing set. and add $15 for a Body swap. the AF cloths cost $70 just for the jacket & pants. i haven't seen the yellow shirt on ebay at all. the rest of the clothing accessories cost another $70.

Waiting for the new Max his new stuff is ready.
