I'm thinking it'll be a 2 pack of PT and OT, there's really only 2 Yodas to ever do, why spread them out, it's going to be a small package unless he includes some sort of Dagobah environment, make it a 2 pack, get Yoda totally out of the way in one swoop.

I thought we can have 3 Yodas, not forgetting Yoda's appearance in TPM deserve a sculpt too.:D

Likely, Lucas will be inserting an all CGI Yoda into TPM and making it look like the AOTC/ROTS design, and knowing LFL, they wouldn't greenlight a TPM Yoda based ona design being made obsolete.

Anakin's portrait has no eyebrows on the 1:1 bust, though I understand and agree with that correction in Jedi, but still, I think products need to adhere to updates to the films, like never seeing a Shaw Ghost Anakin product ever again.

In that case, the exclusive could be Yoda's orange PT chair.
I'd rather get the floating chair from AOTC, though that might be kind of big for an exclusive:

I doubt it. Including a Dagobah environment wouldn't be as appealing as a stand-alone figure which would mean $80 for a 4" action figure. I'm sticking with thinking it'll be a 2-pack. I can't see how they could justify a standard price, even by BSing about a low ES. I've changed my mind about the Ex for Yoda (ESB) though, I think it'll be the backpack.

I'd be in for a PT and OT Yoda... my guess is they will not be released as a two pack as that would probably not garner the most $$$ in sales.

... and let's not forget if it isn't on a hobbit body it's on a newly developed body which means R&D costs will be piled into his price... $69.99? not likely me thinks.

A body that with minor tooling can be reused for Jawas and Ewoks. They'll get their money's worth.

Yes, but the cost will still be handed to us :lol I'd guess Yoda would be $80-$90... maybe less per figure if they do a two-pack.

Yeah, if the Hobbits were $75 a piece a few years ago I can't see Yoda being any less than $80.

I would imagine that he will still be under $100 as Sideshow would not want to surpass the ridiculous price Medicom charges for their VCDs.

I'm ok with spending that kind of money, so long as he looks up to par. Knowing what one will likely cost, I'm sure a lot's being poured into him to make him seem wortwhile to prospective buyers. Sideshow's got the Medicom Yoda and their sales history with the Hobbits to make decisions on Yoda with. The two most important characters in LOTR didn't sell well because people didn't think they were worth the money for their size, Yoda has the Star Wars buyers in his favor, but it'll still be a tough sell if the price seems crazy for a little figure.

Agreed, I doubt they'll do a Dagobah environment, but if it's not a 2 pack, I do think something will have to be included to make customers feel more comfortable with the money they're spending and only PT Yoda really has options like that so that favors 2 pack for OT Yoda.

Bespin Luke's already been done so that leaves out a Luke and Yoda 2 pack.

For the OT they could include a small diorama base... maybe a stump and some foilage? Also the harness Luke carries him around in. Not "must have" items, but maybe enough.

The chair seems like a winner for the PT version.

That would be a great time to release a dirty version of R2-D2 as a 2 pack with Original Trilogy yoda. (The clean R2 could be repacked wirh -C3PO at a later time) The Yoda would have more original acessories like, snake, pots, lamp, stick to hit R2...

new trilogy Yoda could come with Bail Organa who may not sell so well independently. This Yoda would come with lightsaber and council chair...etc.

I know what'll bring him up to the $80 mark. They'll toss in Luke's torch, his food kit, soup bowls, a couple snakes and a Vader/Luke head (both used from existing sculpts but combined), with the backpack still the Ex. This way, when they get around to releasing the PT version, they think we won't feel shafted at $80 for a barebones Yoda with a smaller ES (German Indy). :lol

I actually think if the Vader head with Luke's face exposed is done at all for an OT Yoda, it'll be the exclusive, it's a cool extra but not a must have like the backpack, and I'm sure a number of folks here would be happy to see that as the Ex. so they could pass on it as they already have Hurricane's.
