1/6th Greedo and Cantina set

It's weird to me that this is a debate. I always just took it for granted that his vest was orange, and i think Sideshow matched it to the screen image perfectly. I don't really care what color the pieces "actually" are, as long as the color matches the film, and whatever color altering filters were used therein.

They look like bendy hands to me. I'm still wondering if the poster's life-sized or 1:6. That'll mean the difference between me picking up the Ex from Sideshow or the reg from another retailer to knock off $20.

I agree with the sentiment, but this is what I see in the film (this is a direct shot I took from the remastered special edition DVD). Does that look orange to you? It doesn't to me, but it does look like the life size bust I have in my office.

I will say though that there's a fair amount of variance between monitors. The Gentle Giant bust shown earlier looked 100% brown on my laptop's monitor, but on my desktop display I can see some orange in there.

Vest color looks fine to me... still this is an exclusive I will be passing on. Just don't see the extra value in even a 1:1 poster.

Guess if it was a screen printed item/lithograph/numbered item I'd be interested... but so far this just looks like a throw away piece of paper. Like the stuff that comes with "The Dead" figures.

yeah, i think whoever wants the exclusive should be able to score it no problem. i'm just going for the reg. if one really wanted a wanted poster at 1:6th scale that would be easy enough to photoshop one.

I hope they are bendy, but I'm thinking no. SS has never done bendy hands, have they?

I would bet the gun hand is not bendy... just looks too well positioned and tight on the gun to be.

The other hands could be, but I doubt it. I can't remember a single Sideshow figure with bendy hands. Even the tentacle things on Bib Fortuna were solid sculpts.

Well, they said they were pushing the envelope with the Aliens and you'd only need one. Either way works for me.

I do not think those hands are bendy. I think the blaster is committed to the hand permanently.

Here are a couple of screenshots I grabbed, look at how the color on Greedo's shirt sleeve changes in these two frames from the same angle. Hard to tell exactly what color anything should be from those examples But the vest does appear to be more brown than orange in both shots.

I always love wondering into Star Wars threads to hear heated discussions about the color of a character's vest. Although this kind of scrutiny has begun to be a staple of the Joe's forum as well. I love Greedo, one of my favorites from the Star Wars saga in terms of Alien design but I have no room or desire for the cantina environment and I think the poster whether its full size or 1/6 is a wasted opportunity. Would have been great to have him in a green jumpsuit similar to the vintage figure as the exclusive. So needless to say I'll be sitting out this PPO without much issue and be ordering him from an AD.

Yeah, I'm sure quite a few of us will end up ordering today only to purchase somewhere else.... I'm interested to see the price of other retailers..... We should be seeing this on other sites in a couple of days, right?

I think so. Certainly it will be lower by about $5 on the reg. In our case, we also save the 10% tax.
