The cost of the enviro doesn't bug me, but the cost of the figure does! For $90, I expect a LOT more. This is an awesome $50 - $75 figure. But $90?! $90!!!!!????

As much as I like the set, I'm skipping it and waiting for the Max Rebo band.

I love this figure. I think his skin might be a tad too dark, and his vest a tad too big, but I don't really care. If I'm not happy with the final product, I can paint him a tad lighter and futz his vest some.

Just had to point out how rough the holster and belt look. I know it's just a prototype, but I probably wouldn't have included a close up of it if it was this unfinished. Makes it look like they slapped it together at the last minute.

I'm sure the final piece will be better. :monkey3

If you buy through a retailer the price will be $81; which is a bit better. And remember; regular versions especially drop in value... so if you don't mind waiting I think you'll have no trouble getting it for less.

techinically we already pay 10% more by going through SSC to get the item than we do through a retailer then you have to pay $5 more for the ex. I just can't value that little poster at $14.

Re: the environment. Its nothing as huge as it could have been. i guess they tried to keep it cost effective but man we are a long way off from the days of $50 holochess. Wonder what that would have cost these days?

IMO greedo looks pretty good...but is there enough shine on his outfit? I know Hasbro overkilled that, but did SSC get enough satin look?

Shinier? Looks good to me. Probably shinier in hand. There's a lot of light blasting this thing in these pics.

My fear is that the vest won't be orange enough -- that it will come out more brown/tan.

I can live with it...

As long as they are able to use the same materials (which doesn't always happen) this should be one hell of a figure. I love the sculpt; so much detail and not ginormous like the Hasbro one :lol

I think we talked about this in the Greedo Life Size bust thread, but as far as I can tell the vest is supposed to be brown. It is brown on the Sideshow bust and the Gentle Giant mini-bust, and appears to be in the movie, from what I can see. I too have it in my head that it should be orange, but I'm not sure why. The only thing I can find in a quick search that actually has it orange is the Kubrick figure. The vintage figure doesn't even have a vest at all.

Anyway, I was sort of impressed that the environment included chairs as well as the table, but they're not particularly accurate and could've been done in plastic for a fraction of the price with no difference in appearance. I think I'll probably get the regular edition of this down the road.

Maybe you guys are getting it mixed up with Ponda Boba's coat? The vintage figure didn't have a vest and the closest thing to orange is the POTF Greedo. Though in some of the close-up shots, there's a vest without pockets that looks orange:

It always struck me as a brown color and material that could look orange depending on the color tint of the image. Even the GG bust looks like a brown with a hint of orange to it.
