Whatever happened to the days of Star Wars collectors enjoying these kinds of errors. Some used to pay premium cash for the very idea of an imperfection like this!

What happened to the spirit?

The spirit is still here, it's just different.

True Star Wars collectors would embrace this issue as the production mistake that it is.

That spirit was in sports card collecting too... unfortunately it's older items with errors that matter.

Anyway like some of you are saying... it's just a cup. There's no need to call the Better Business Bureau..."Help my action figure didn't come with his cup!" :cuckoo:

I got my Hammerhead today and I have to say this is the first Star Wars 1/6th I am tryley disappointed in. The head is such flimsey rubber, and hollow, I'm afraid to let it get warmer in the house the 80 or it will melt. We deserved much harder plastic for the money paid for this doll. For the first time, I really have to say this one was not worth the cost.

mine arrived in Sydney yesterday, should have been here this morning.checked the tracking and it is now back in honolulu!!!
What gives Arrrrghh!!!!
i swear the scum and villainy isnt allowed in my country,LOL

Hmmm...A country that originally populated with "scum and villainy" no longer allows "scum and villainy"...interesting.:)

Are shins and feet hollow vinyl too?

So many mixed reviews. It's good to hear everyone's take on this figure.

Anything heavier and that dolly would be doing "shelf dives" all day long. As long as the material takes paint well and allows for a detailed sculpt, I don't see a problem with hollow plastics. I understand why some would associate it with cheapness however. When I received my Henry Jones Sr. I was bummed that the Grail Tablet accessory was hollow.

I don't consider something hollow being a cop out. Its more of a manufacturing decision. Too me it depends on how thick the vinyl is in the cast. I imagine the head being the way it is makes it the most durable thing on the figure. The portion between the eyes and the chin could snap if it were made from hard plastic.

Besides could you imagine the weight of that thing if it were solid? (Although it might help justify the price to some).

I can't understate how pliable the head is. We shouldn't have been charges this much for this material.

And no the shins and forearms are not hollow, they are nice and solid.

Hmmm... very strange that the head is so flimsy. I was thinking hollow like an old vintage He-man figure's head (hollow but stiff).

What if you poured a bit of epoxy or resin in the head and sloshed it around??? I know... its a lot of extra work for the price it was.

BTW...
Shopstarwars has the figure on sale ($10 off). Not much... just thought I'd share.

Of the collectors that own both Greedo and Hammerhead, which would you consider the better figure?

I get Hammer later today and I broke down and ordered Greedo EX. Looking forward to him.
I'll be calling SS for my Momaw cup. No easy pass here sorry.

I just went back in time and convinced Sideshow to change the head to solid AND lower the cost. When I got back to the present, however, the complaints from collectors who couldn't keep their heavy heads erect were so loud (and so full of inappropriate ambiguity ;) ) that I went back in time again and switched it back to normal. Trust me. We're all better off.

While I agree the glass isn't a big deal, I do have a problem with the fact that I pre-ordered an item that was supposed to include an accessory and it wasn't even mentioned that a mistake was made or that it wasn't included. Sweeping it under the rug isn't cool and I have a problem with that.

I agree. They should address mistakes like this as it seems to be happening more and more lately.

No big deal, but sooner or later it will be.

So I received my Hammerhead today. I wasted several minutes tearing through the packaging in desperation that I dropped or lost the glass! I kept looking at the clear plastic he and the accessories are packed in and couldn't find where the glass would have been. I then kept reading the box where it says included "cantina beverage cup". Only to read a few pages back there is no glass!

Love the figure and love that new plastic toy smell. Although I am a bit annoyed that I was driving myself crazy looking for the glass that is stated to be included on the box. Sorry but it is bit rude even if it is seems to be a small non essential accessory .

Hammerhead (yes, not Momam Nadow) is one of my favorite characters; however, this figure doesn't convince me yet. In some shots his neck fades smoothly into his shoulders, like the Kenner figures, in others it looks like a guy wearing a hat with a drastic division between his shoulders and head. I don't know if I am explaining what I mean right.

I am still debating whether to get it or not.

Luis

Somebody call the Better Business Bureau and the California State Attorney General. It's time for a class action suit...

I think you mean a glass action suit. :D

But seriously, Sideshow has a history of making mistakes like this and just trying to gloss over them. Like when they accidentally mixed up the exclusive and normal Han Solo blasters and then retroactively changed the website to reflect their mistake.
