Yes it was. But we all know that once something sells out it almost always becomes priceless on the secondary market.

The reason it hung around for awhile is they sold out of the Desert Sands Sandtrooper long before the Dewback and the older SS Sandtroopers were very expensive at the time. So if you didn't already have a Sandtrooper you probably weren't going to get the Dewback to display by himself.

Someone on FB is selling a nice collection of figures, including the Dewback for $3000 shipped. If you're short on that guy, plus Probe Droid, Speeder Bike, e-Web, two Snowtroopers, and more, sounds like a good deal.

Plenty of imagination and backed up by an almost endless assortment of real-life examples to guide it.

If HT want to release another Tatooine figure, let it be a new Sandtrooper Sergeant or Corporal - I'd grab both.

Such a beautiful figure. It would be better if Sideshow released another, but one with all legs on the ground and a different tail pose. They would look great side by side.

With two of them I can finally put them near the street on either side of the driveway welcoming guests to the house and keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood. The Italians up the street would have nothing on these with their puny lions.

I AM PROUD TO SAY... I FINALLY GOT MY DEWBACK.

I got him in a combo-buy from an ebay seller, but settled on an outside ebay price.

I got the 1/6 dewback, exclusive momaw nadon and exclusive greedo for $800 shipped.

I looked at it as $200 for hammerhead and $200 for greedo, and $400 for the dewback. Not bad considering ebay prices are more like $250 for each figure and $600 for the Dewback.
