price makes sense to me to be honest, hes a one off that took years to develop and is very intricate, i am curious about that dooku hologram in one of the pictures

I'm actually very surprised it's up for pre-order so soon after SDCC. I was sure they would try and push this off til at least Spooktacular.

In our hands by February 2014, huh?

Interesting, what is this storage/display area in the pics? Is this something that the box turns into or is it superfluous and doesnt actually come with the figure?

I pre-ordered the exclusive.
I wish it didn't need the NRD though.
I could see if you were buying 2,they'd need it.
In the images there's a pic of him looking at a Dooku hologram.
Do you think the final version will come with it?

I also thought the Dooku hologram was included, but it seems is not. Shame.

I don't think it comes with the figure. I think it's just a new way to show all the accessories the figure comes with.

Problem with higher prices "FOR ME" is it eliminates a figure being "considered" for purchase. It is immediately a NO!! I like Grievous character/design and would love to have him displayed at home. Problem is I don't love him to spend $250. If figures were kept at the $150 - $175 range I think I would consider to buy more figures than I currently purchase. But I know those days are over.

So for a guy like me I have to stand on the sidelines and wait for the figures I really want (i.e.. Batman Returns). Whenever that will be.

So are we getting what's in the last pic on the product page? Where his cloak. sabers, etc.. are hanging on the wall. I doubt it but it is unclear.

I wonder why the flex pay for Grievous is different than for Vader. Both are $250, but you can only have 3 payments for Vader (for $75 each), while you can have 4 payments for Grievous (for $56 each). :dunno
