Problem with higher prices "FOR ME" is it eliminates a figure being "considered" for purchase. It is immediately a NO!! I like Grievous character/design and would love to have him displayed at home. Problem is I don't love him to spend $250. If figures were kept at the $150 - $175 range I think I would consider to buy more figures than I currently purchase. But I know those days are over.

So for a guy like me I have to stand on the sidelines and wait for the figures I really want (i.e.. Batman Returns). Whenever that will be.

I agree completely, Bo. But I think my collection is all the better because I'm now so selective with what I buy.

Sure it would be great to be able to buy every figure that captures my attention, but there's something nice about having a streamlined, focused collection with all the fat trimmed. I even just recently got rid of a couple of figures just because I didn't LOVE them like I do the rest.

Yeah, hence the "suppose"

I like this character more from the animated series' like clone wars etc...Rather than his portrayal in EP3.

I was expecting $300. These days I'm desensitized about this high price. 2 years ago when it debuted at SDCC, I would've been bummed at $250...these days....It's kind of low :lol

You have a good analogy going for the frog in boiling water theory. :)

I hate it, but I'm starting to get priced out. That said, my room is pretty full of cool toys, so perhaps it's time to scale things down to a very select few purchases each year.

Too expensive especially with no lightup feature

Don't expect sideshow to do any more light up sabers.

the one they did didn't work very well, and was very poorly recieved.

Grevious has TONS of unique tooling, and allmost NO re-useable parts.

The price, while high, is fair.

Better than Raynar anyways :lol

Like the looks of this figure but my biggest concern will be the ability to properly hold the sabers for posing. I'll likely hold off until I see reviews relative to this. I'm sure it won't be an issue but it is something I'm leery of.

"Frog in boiling water"...That's exactly what it is :lol

I've been doing that a lot recently myself. Scaling down what I collect. It's a shame but in the end...meh... They's just toys after all :lol

:gah: This was one I was wanting to get! I didn't know what they were going to charge, but I feared $300....

I guess it's a much easier choice for me now. :monkey2

Yeah, me too. Too bad...it's a great looking figure, with a lot of fantastic work put into it. I'll just have to appreciate it from afar :lol

In One of the videos they showed that there are magnets in the hands to help hold the sabers.
