Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

Can't see any reason to pass on this guy if you're a fan... the figure looks all kinds of badass :lecture

Sideshow has definitely stepped up their game... now if they can just paint 1/6 human faces better I'll be one happy mofo :lecture

i can think of one, with so many other great products for the 1/4 quarter some take presence over others.

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

Nothing is cooler than an OT bounty hunter :lecture :lol

But, in seriousness I tend to agree. The amount of pre-orders is really stacking up. I'm gonna have to be a careful budgeter or no one (but me) will be be getting presents this holiday season :lol

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

I can't wait to see Sideshow's SW display at SDCC this week. It's going to be unreal seeing it in person. :rock

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

The specs say the legs are extendable. Maybe that's why there seems to be excessive cable.

Thanks, SS.

are we to assume that the 14 1/2" height is with the legs being fully extended?.........that's what i assume but ..........:dunno

That is my guess as well... and pretty similar to the Hasbro figure. The legs extended until the wires were tightened up and he ended up being around 14" tall.

Strange that they didn't photograph how it will look with the legs extended!

just mark them all for your daughter but tell her daddy will keep these for you until your "old enough". just dont tell her that "old enough" is 50.......:lecture

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

I know, but how friggin' bad-azz does he look with it?

Yeah, I don't mind the non-film axe... looks cool and adds some option for display. Kind of like the staff with Hammerhand.

Strange that they didn't photograph how it will look with the legs extended!

Wouldn't be the first time... I imagine we'll see a production video, or at least that feature may be displayed at SDCC.

Since she doesn't speak yet and still likes wrapping paper as much (if not more) than the actual gift I think I could get away with this :lecture

But, she is clearly my daughter as evidenced by her reaction to the Han and Luke Stormtrooper set, so its only a matter of time before I have to start buying doubles :lol

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

I ordered the EX for this. Light up feature? Deluxe Base? That level of detail? Oh yes.

Also used my points to get $95 off the price... MUCH easier to swallow at less than $100.

How long does it take them to set-up? I figured it was just a few days :huh

they actually dont set up the booth. They have to pay union help to build the booths. With the number of booths they have that are huge at SDCC I would say they make them have the booth available to start over the weekend. I remember for CIV they on a Tuesday for a show that started on Thur and there were a lot less booths to build.

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

So it looks like the vibro axe wasn't an original film used accessory.

Anyone know where it first came from? Just Hasbro's VOTC 3.75 inch figure?

Yep! It was featured in the Star Wars Visual Dictionary, released in 1998 by DK Publishing. Any extra props were made by the Archive guys at the time: Don Bies and Nelson Hall.

Hasbro later based their VOTC figure on this as well:

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

Not seeing the Sideshow booth in person is the single biggest thing I will miss about not being able to go to SDCC this year.

Can't wait to see pics of it in all it's glory once it's complete!

Re: 1/6th Scale IG-88 Figure

This thing looks incredible. I ordered the exclusive...because sometimes 2 big ass blasters aren't enough.
