I was trying to decide which of the regular packs to use, but one of the antenna on one of the packs doesn't stay up, so that made up my mind. Pics soon.

NOTE: If you can carefully and successfully "break in" the should rotation without breaking them, they move pretty well, but remain properly tight.

oh noooooo Coco!!!

that would have to be one of my worst nightmares to get a figure, just open it and SNAP,it breaks :(
Hopefully you get it sorted mate.
Im on the waitlist for thse and still no conversion...should i just go order the reg instead?

they turned out great but im still struggling to get these, just cant seem to pull the trigger. :gah:

do they look silly on the stands? it seems like the stands would be bigger than the droid itself.

Got mine today as well. Fantastic figures, miles beyond what Hasbro ever made. These skinny little guys can stand just fine on their own, which is good since they don't come with stands. But they do have metal plates on the soles of their feet, so I'm guessing they are magnetic, but haven't tested that yet.

A few nits.

1) They can't hold their blasters very well. Thats more due to the actual design of the hands rather than Sideshow's fault. The joints are all there, but the design of the 2 fingers and a thumb wasn't the best idea.

2) The backpacks do fall off too easily. I'm dissapointed Sideshow didn't put in magnets like they did with Captain Rex's jetpack. I hope they don't forget one on Boba Fett beacuse that would really suck having that jetpack falling off all the time.

3) The Joints are TIGHT. Usually this is a very good thing, but with as skinny as these guys are, it can easily lead to breakage like Coco's did. I actually had to just let these guys warm up a bit after UPS came by just so they wouldn't be so brittle from the cold. My advise is to check out each joint before moving it and seeing how it works and where its weakness might be and brace that area with your thumb/fingers.

I love how they packaged these too. That was a brilliant idea and it made a 2 pack as small as one of the older clone size boxes. Thin and sleek. I'll definatley be getting at least 1 more pack, if not 2 or more. These guys are great at only $60 (or less) each :rock

Though I don't own a set (yet). For the tight joints I suggest some heat. Dry heat to be precise, hot water might rust the metal joints. Anyway, try 20 seconds on a joint with a blow dryer. Then turn ever so slightly to see if it loosens.

Though this "Tight Joint" thing is troubling, especially since grievous is on the way and he has a lot of small joints.

Aside from the backpacks slipping off, the only other thing that is disappointing is that the finger tips don't move independently of each other, so you can't have him saying, "Er, um, you're under arrest."

Like Buttmunch mentioned, they don't hold the blasters well, but that's a fault of the original design, not the figure itself. They hold okay though if you futz enough.

Here's some pics of mine. I still give them two huge thumbs up. They look absolutely incredible, and I can't wait for some other versions.

Loving the pics so far. Too bad about the backpacks but at least it won't be a problem for any further droids since only the infantry wore them.

That was an OOM Commander droid who said that so an extra hand with pointing figure would be a great exclusive for him!!

Okay, I figured out a way to fix the backpack problem. (Again, don't own a set yet.) Put a tiny drop of elmers wood glue on the studs. Let dry and the glue should act as a tightner for the stud holder.

I can confirm, while these great figures have tight joints, they can be too tight. :monkey2

One of my figure's heads can slightly turn, the other, broke off. And I wasn't applying very much force. Time to contact Sideshow. :(

BE CAREFUL with these!!

You know looking at the design, SSC should have made the turning joints out of soft plastic. Hard snaps easily, Soft stretches which would be good for the joints.

Nah, they would get gummy and warp. They should have just made them out of the same material as the rest of the figures out there. :dunno

Sorry to hear about the arm dude.

But damn, that picture really shows how good the paint apps are!

Paint apps are fantastic. Some of SS's best right here.

I couldn't believe it. I hadn't had them opened but maybe ten or fifteen seconds and SNAP! :monkey4 I'm sure SS will make it right. Now go order those regulars!

Oh no! Not you too, Brinn. :slap

Excellent pics SS! :rock

Maybe, but the soft plastic I had in mind is the same consistency to what Hasbro uses for their figs.
