Nope. I got the white doorknob card of "we coulda left it, but.... :nana:"

"you weren't home........neener neener neener" .........:lol

that really sucks especially when your really looking forward to some item. thats why i had to change to ups.........my fedex ground is like an hour away. had to make that trip a time or two...........:gah:

Yeah, just got ship notice. I'll have my droids tomorrow. I may not have seemed like a long wait for you guys, but I painted the protos back in November of 2010. I've waited a long time to have these on my shelf. Can't wait for OOM9 and the STAPS.:clap

does that mean when you mentioned the figure you were working on now that you wished we all "could look on with our own eyes"won't be displayed at SDCC???

it would work out that we COULD based on Nov 2010 for the Battle droids and they were shown at SDCC 2011.....but with "THAT" figure...he would be a bit more intricate than droids i presume...

Never can tell with Sideshow's production plans. I would expect to "see it" much sooner than that, especially since Sideshow mentioned that he would be a feature in early 2012.

I think the delay on the droids was that they took the protos I did, and had China do a whole series of droids based on just the three I did. I never painted the pilot, Geonosis, or security droids, but those were all revealed at SDCC with the infantry droids, OOM9, and STAPS that I did paint. Also, there was a lot of late production work China had to do to the droids to make the final product what it is. The protos had far less articulation, being mostly just resin castings. Same with the STAPS.

The same thing is happening to Grievous. I painted one proto for SDCC, and China is responsible for making it into a functional action figure. The production parts will be differently tooled than what I painted.

I just got the droids in and they are actually amazing. Great paint as well. If I had the space I'd probably get another couple of them.

Good to hear. Joints are good and they balance well without bases?

Well they have no bases anyway. There are magnets on the feet from what I can gather but it stood well when I had one out. That's due to the poseability.

So no Sideshow stands of any kind? Interesting... only other figures I can thing of w/o a stand was the Gamorrean Guards.

With UPS you can sign for things online now if you're not going to be home

Mine were originally scheduled for delivery on Wednesday, but just checked my tracking number this morning and it's already on the UPS truck out for delivery today. A day early. :yess:

If I can only find the time to take pics and post them here when they arrive. I've been so behind in that department lately with all the goodies I've received in the last few months.

Wow, a dude in Scotland got these? Nice.

I'm more surprised than anyone else. I thought most of the USers would have them by now. First.

And the two Yoda's. I'll post some crappy pics soon.

I am impressed with the rapidity between the announcement of these to delivery. Can it be assumed that the tailoring part of the process is what typically holds figures up?
