Can't say i am a fan of this review as i stopped reading after the first sculpting section rant..complete BS when he states "complaining".:cuckoo:

Yeah, the response for the figure has been overwhelmingly positive. I've complained about the necks being too short, but that's about it. I like that site, and his reviews, but I'm not sure how well of a review you can give when you seemingly don't really know the details of the figure, like the antenna and neck extending. Aside from that, I'm pretty sure he was just commenting on the endless pages of detail discussion from past figures, but I dunno. :huh

Yea, i can't complain with this set even if its missing a piston under the head or whatever, its not SS Stormtrooper bad even though i bought two of them because i still like them just, i can't stand the SSF sycophants that attack others for pointing out inaccuracies with SS product thinking they are gaining some type of points with other ****** bags like themselves on here though, that has died down lots in the SW section ever since more and more new members had pointed out inaccuracies with SSC product.

I agree, it doesn't mean you hate Sideshow or any particular figure because you complain about something. These figures and the people who buy them get more sophisticated every year, and accuracy has always been a sticking point, so I don't see the problem with calling them on it. This is a really great figure, but there's a few simple things that hold it back from being pretty much perfect, and I don't mind anyone, myself included, talking about it.

These aren't as iconic as Stormtroopers, I couldn't tell whats wrong if anything with these guys. look great to me

They are "iconic" for the Prequel Trilogy and therefore for Star Wars. Just as the stormtroopers are the main fighting force in the OT the battle droid are the main fighting force in the PT. :lecture

Yeah, but is anything from the PT really "iconic"; ironic maybe :lol

lol, I think iconic is the wrong word, but the battle droids are obviously important, to the pt anyway. They're actually in the prequels more than the Stormtroopers are in the originals. Whether you happen to like them as much as Stormtroopers (and I can't imagine anyone does) is irrelevant, and doesn't have much to do with whether or not, this or that aspect of the figure is accurate.

The battle droids aren't nearly as popular, nor have they had 35 years of people obsessing over them like the Stormtroopers have, and you can see this reflected in the endless discussions of the Stormtrooper accuracy. I might be one of the few people who really love the battle droids (design-wise) so I can see the few tiny things I'd like to be better on the figure, just like there are things that bug guys about the clones. Anyway, bottom line is, this is an awesome figure and I doubt anyone but a few obsessive types would see anything wrong with them

They have a great look to them. Some Art Deco influence in the designs.

Very kewl well made figures. These almost rival the HT T-800 Endo. SS has come a long way.

From what i remember, there is some type of African influence brought into the design of the Battle Droids no?.

TPM introduced infantry, commander, pilot, and security droids.

AOTC introduced all red infantry droids.

Are any Battle Droids unique to ROTS?

ROTS? No. Hasbro made some Kashyyyk mock ups in photoshop, but on screen none. Of course I think I remember seeing a Security Battle Droid with a B1 Power Backpack on Kashyyyk riding the Corporate Alliance Droid's wheel saying, "Charge!".

It may be the next clones for these figs. Still on the fence to get a couple or not... I would get the commando battle droids if SS ever make those.

Defintitely agree with your points... while not quite at the complexity level of the Endoskeleton; they are made incredibly well and I think the complexity is limited by the original desin. And IG-88 is another stellar droid from Sideshow.

Let's hope the SBD is just as great.

I honestly am no interested in the SBD... didn't really care for the design and they kind of sucked on screen :lol

But; I imagine as long as they are not too top-heavy they will be another well done figure.
