1/6th Scale Sideshow Boba Fett Figure

Finally made it through the first 24 pages of this thread after discovering it late last night after work.

Strange that there are no preview images on the calendar page for releases tomorrow, or any type for that matter. Maybe no releases at all tomorrow?

Can't wait to see the full setup at SDCC in just a few more days. (For me)

Boba Fett by SS looks awesome.

When a company takes steps to improve their quality and people ignore it because of the past, that's stubbornness and ignorance. Take Ford, Kia, or Hyundai, for example.

They have improved but they're still lacking compared to HT and SS. Thats a fact not just my opinion but a fact when you look at all the figures over the last few years. So I'm well aware of the improvement and as someone who tries to stay on to of collectible news and such I've got a pretty good grasp of things.

Before you label me a a medicom hater know this I've owned more medicom figures than most of the medicom fans over the years.

Now back to the awesomeness that is the SS Boba Fett.

A discussion regarding the merits of both figures was attempted. Sideshow freaks 'devolved' the discussion into namecalling/shottaking without once bringing any conversation to the table other than "instant buy" and smilies. The water is warm.

Thinking there may not be any new pre-orders during the 5 days of SDCC (except for attendees, of course). Then they'll resume on the 25th.

If you don't name names then one must assume that you are talking about all posters in the thread. That why it makes sense to be more specific if you are accusing someone of something instead of a general blanket statement.

Didn't they have orders every day last year? So far its been every day except for Sundays this year.

Look, man, I just wanna talk about Boba Fett.

I'm not interested in naming names. I received an infraction for indirectly quasi-calling someone an idiot. I don't want to get suspended and/or banned from here, as I very much enjoy this forum.

Boba Fett is a polarizing character. Sideshow, Hot Toys, Medicom, etc. Each company that attempts to produce a 1/6 version is subject to huge amounts of criticism. Because of the HEAT that the Medicom ROTJ received, I thought that the Sideshow version would be looked at just as closely, for the sake of pointing out the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I was wrong.

But for God's sake, let's discuss Fett. Not bicker or have long (weird) conversations that should best be handled through PM.

More pics/discussion related to Boba Fett, please.

I guess I'm a bit late to the party, but until we see both figures side to side, we cannot make a fair comparison...

Sideshow's a prototype and Medicom is already produced...

But, if we were to compare, here you go...

I honestly think that Medi's Fett is one of their finest figures ever...
I sure hope that SS's is better, but it's too early to say... yet, I like what I see so far.
But don't dismiss Medi's Fett if you haven't seen it in hand, it's gorgeous, believe me...

Anyway, as I said, can't wait to see SS Fett tomorrow!!

That Medi Fett really is nice looking... Hope Sideshow's comes in a bit under their pricetag though.
