but for quality purposes it's a fair comparison...

No...we've all been clearly comparing the 2 ESB fetts. Why compare ESB to ROTJ? They are completely different.

Sure if you want to be hardline about it... but comparing a figure from a few years ago to a current one just isn't fair. Kind of like comparing the first HT terminator figure to their work on the T2 figure.

The ESB Fett from Medicom is from a time when sideshow was still firmly using the Buck body and armored figures were still 2 years away. If you want to compare quality... which the discussion has been about; the ROTJ Fett is fair given how recently it was released.

It is a fair comparison if someone wants one ESB costumed Fett figure between the two companies.

I was comparing the amount of detailing and the quality. It shouldn't matter when the figure came out...it's a moot point. And we all know that Medicom's is older and obviously is at a disadvantage to a new SS product.

It's amazing isn't it? We should all be united by our interest in SW, yet we get divided by the toy company or toy we prefer. Need to focus on the main priority guys. (and people get so offended by others OPINIONS)

To me it's a simple question. If a new collector wants to buy the best ESB should he track a Medicom one down or preorder the new SS one. It's as simple as that. It doesn't matter when the item came out, or how much it costs...compare Hasbro to Medicom to Kenner to Sideshow. Which one has the best looking ESB Fett. (without having to mod the hell out of it.)

I don't know...from what little we can actually do a fair comparison on until we get the Sideshow figure in-hand...I would say that Sideshow's humiliates medicoms. I can see why you were trying so hard to hide this comparison, Rubio.




To tell the truth. All I cared to compare was what battle damage each company did. We will never be able to compare colors on a photograph unless the same photographer with the same lighting and settings does the shots. And we will never be able to determine which figure is "higher quality" as that attitude is absolutely subjective to a person's priorities. And to me, it looks like the companies were pretty even as far as what can truly be evaluated with these photos based on my own priorities.

The outfit and sculpt look very good. They did a good job on the helmet, thankfully.

Wider/baggier sleeves may help the arm proportion.

look how skinny those arms look on the SS Fett, did they use a stick figure for the base body?

It seems to me that the medi-Fetts helmet is slighly wider?
