I'm almost positive SS will up the price to at least that. They know it's Fett and they can get away with it.

I guess I'm a bit late to the party, but until we see both figures side to side, we cannot make a fair comparison...

Sideshow's a prototype and Medicom is already produced...

But, if we were to compare, here you go...

I honestly think that Medi's Fett is one of their finest figures ever...
I sure hope that SS's is better, but it's too early to say... yet, I like what I see so far.
But don't dismiss Medi's Fett if you haven't seen it in hand, it's gorgeous, believe me...

Anyway, as I said, can't wait to see SS Fett tomorrow!!

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but do you guys reckon Boba's on the armor body, or a regular Pro? He looks a little squat like he could be on the Pro. Anyone know?

It's important to me that people fully understand what I'm saying. I'm not a troll or a hater in any way, and I want to be clear about that.

I consider my opinions to be well thought out and concise, so that I am not dismissed as purely a Medicom lover or whatever. I am a Boba Fett fan.

It was mentioned earlier (when discussing the skinny arms) that he is probably on the armored body. Which would make sense to have him the same height as all the clones.

No...we've all been clearly comparing the 2 ESB fetts. Why compare ESB to ROTJ? They are completely different.

Although I will probably pass on the exclusive... the insignia base does nothing for me. And if I can save 10% from a retailer yet still get the cool light-up base I'll be happy that way. Too bad Sideshow doesn't also offer free domestic shipping on their own products like they do with HT

I do think that Medicom figure has better proportioned arms. But seems a bit hasty to make real comparisons before we get the Sideshow figure in-hand. Often there is a discrepancy between prototype and production product with Sideshow.

Wowza! Sideshow is having a HUUUUGE SDCC this year in terms of Star Wars 1/6 scale. Fett looks amazing. IG-88 is a knockout and Grevious could be a jaw dropper. Throw Gree, some nice battle droids and a STAP on the pile and color me overwhelmed with goodness.

I'm 100% +1 on the Fett. Can't wait to see him.

Not if you want to be accurate. To compare A ESB and a ROTJ Boba Fett is akin to comparing a 501st and a 212th clone.

At least, for the details that I care to compare and can through a PHOTOGRAPH.

Sure if you want to be hardline about it... but comparing a figure from a few years ago to a current one just isn't fair. Kind of like comparing the first HT terminator figure to their work on the T2 figure.

The ESB Fett from Medicom is from a time when sideshow was still firmly using the Buck body and armored figures were still 2 years away. If you want to compare quality... which the discussion has been about; the ROTJ Fett is fair given how recently it was released.
