1/6th Scale Sideshow Hoth Luke Skywalker (Echo Base)

Thanks guys. I guess I will have to take a peak at the body. My guess just looking at him in person, he doesn't seem overly sized or too tall. Weird though that people have experienced having different bodies on this figure.

Not a fan of the pro bodies at all. Swapped it out with a TT Slim. Still a work in progress, but this is what I have so far......

I've seen a lot of people on here complaining about the scarf being too short. Why don't you just untie it and tie it back to make the end hanging down longer? That's what I did with mine and it worked great.

Same here. It took me less then a minute.

Took some pics of the swapped over body. I think it looks better. Definitely shorter. Now the same height as Hot Toys Luke cause it's the same body. If anyone is interested the SS pegs will fit in the ankles of the Hot Toys Luke body. No need for surgery if you don't have the hot toys boots.

Tried the hasbro gauntlets to see if I like them better. Unfortunately they are not gray but tan. You can always dye them if needed. Sideshow hands fit well on Hot Toys wrist pegs too.


Tried the boots as well. Not sure of which I like better but both look good in my opinion. SS looks more toying and hasbro-esk. Where the Hot Toys seem more realistic because of the real fabric.


Also tried the SS head on the HT body.

About the same height. Maybe a 1/6 of an inch taller. I used the shorter HT neck and short neck peg.


This is on a regular Slim from ZCWO.

Yo can see the head fits closer to the neck. Not like the SS longer neck peg.

I got this body.

Very awkward indeed. Elbows don't seem natural at all.

Thanks for that. I'm anticipating having to switch out Han's body if it comes on the shorter pro and I was worried about the whole foot peg thing. You mentioned the SS hands fit into the HT wrist pegs. Do the SS wrist pegs not fit into the HT forearms?

Sideshow pegs are long, but the HT Slim has a ball joint connection. Does that lower part of the leg come off?

No. I have the Hot Toys Luke body. It has similar ankles to the Kevin Flynn and Joker 2.0 figures. Larger hole to accommodate their newer ankle pegs.

Because the Slim is still too tall. The Pro 1.0 is a better match for Luke in this outfit.

The vest comes down further on mine...judging by how much of the trouser fly is still showing on yours.

I can't speak for how they look in person, but in photos, the SS boots look much better.

If you're going all-out on mods, you might consider making Luke even shorter, as has been mentioned, HT's Bespin is too tall.

Seeing as this subject is pretty high traffic, maybe all the modifications could go into a dedicated mods/custom thread (just like was done with Vader).
