Have to say, I love this figure a lot more (custom or non custom) since my Tauntaun arrived, it really makes for a killer display.
It's just the scale of it as well.

Yup. Just showing how the sideshow pegs a harder to pop in. I'm using HT pegs.

Oh ok, cool. Was it you who tried Indy hands on him? I must look in my box of parts and see if there is something smaller that would work. I like the fabric cuffs you have on your one as well. I still have that on my list to do.

Luke has been delivered , the box is here next to me at work, but I can't open it here...all I keep hearing in my head is this......

Exclusive arrived today....while not totally gaga I am pleased with the purchase. The joints nice n tight looks great from actual viewing distance. Up close not bad either but I'd never display the un helmeted head....icky imo. Based on Luke, I'll likely grab Han.

Thanks. No the SS wrist pegs will not fit. View attachment 175334

If you cut of the wide bottom of the pegs they should work... at least that was the case when I did it a couple years ago. But usually I have more than enough HT pegs to do the swap.

Thanks for those photos.

I didn't realize the DX07 had variant ankles from the carded TTM22 Slim.

Yeah, I think the first round of slims had the same kind of ankles (at least I believe the AA body used with the Thriller MJ did) that Sideshow now uses. I believe the armored body uses them as well, and that was developed by HT so that's where the overlap happened.

Luke arrived on the 1.1, but I had Sideshow's ROTLA Indiana Jones which had been boxed up for a long time.

It was a simple swap since everything matched. Didn't think I was ever going to choose a Pro 1.0 over a TTM22, until galactiboy showed his. .

Glad I could help :duff

I used the Indy gloves. They don't have as much detail, but I think once repainted should look pretty good. Sadly he doesn't come with an open/force gesture hand. At least I didn't have one in my parts bin.

Thanks guys. I guess I will have to take a peak at the body. My guess just looking at him in person, he doesn't seem overly sized or too tall. Weird though that people have experienced having different bodies on this figure.

Yeah, it's weird - mine seems correctly sized and the body actually works really well.

Not a fan of the pro bodies at all. Swapped it out with a TT Slim. Still a work in progress, but this is what I have so far......

Is that a slim narrow or just a slim?

I still don't think the vest is long enough. Even with a body swap.

Vest in the MOM display on the right is on a very flat-chested mannequin so seems a bit longer (and knowing most of those exhibits, it probably isn't even Luke's onscreen vest.) The SSC one is a bit short, but not by much. Keep in mind due to the scaling of fabric, the 1/6 one sits higher on the shoulders as opposed to the 1:1 ones which have no thickness at the shoulder at all. In a few customs, I've dremelled down the crest of the shoulders to make a vest or coat sit lower at the top.

Pic on the left is from England backlot pickups, so he doesn't have the cold weather extras on.

I can't speak for how they look in person, but in photos, the SS boots look much better.

If you're going all-out on mods, you might consider making Luke even shorter, as has been mentioned, HT's Bespin is too tall.

Seeing as this subject is pretty high traffic, maybe all the modifications could go into a dedicated mods/custom thread (just like was done with Vader).

If people are worried about any "toyish"-ness to the SSC boots, hit them with some matte clear. It's really just the slight sheen that gives that effect (versus the very matte HT boots appearance) but the sculpt is very well done. HT boots are huge amount of work.

OMG OMG. Did anyone else notice that HT got the position of the Saber hook and the loop next to it reversed (left to right)? Break out the Dremels. ;)

EDIT: Had to remove "Sideshow" as it was only a HT belt in the photo above after all.

My Luke is about 11 1/2" when the cap is factored out. I think that's close to right.

Anyone else notice that all the shots of Luke's cap antenna have it tilted slightly to the back? Whereas on the figure its straight up? Is it the way he's wearing the cap or is the box actually tilted back? Another possible mod...

I just got this guy today. I am pretty happy with him straight out of the box. I haven't had a chance to futz him or anything. Really nice figure.

Really looking forward to modding and weathering him up.

A pic of Luke with one of my Snowtroopers, these Hoth guys are going to look great together once I get them all in hand and setup. :)
