Yep, if these can translate this well to a production piece they'll be SS's best 1/6 SW figures to date.

Looks great. Will the production figure look the same? Lets hope so!

The paint work looks more dialed back than the old protos (kind of like the Padawan Kenobi) so I'm hoping they're showing more production quality figures now rather than raising or hopes for a Silent Surfer or Small Studios quality paint job

Even Greivous looks to have a more simplified paint job than the proto from 2 years ago.

If the labels didn't say Sideshow and these were surprise HT reveals I would have totally believed it. As far as I'm concerned I'm looking at a couple of MMS figures right there and from ESB to boot. I got exactly what I wanted out of this SDCC.

Looks like the head gear is plastic and goes on in two pieces: an upper half and a lower half. You can see a seam near his temple and close to the visor.

Yeah, they really stepped-up and delivered on all the Hoth stuff. Will make quite an impressive display, that's for sure. Looking forward to more details on all of it, but especially the droid.

I had a feeling that we would be impressed when SS finally revealed the Hoth items. I'm down for Luke, Han and the Probe. Not sure about the Tauntaun yet...gotta see the final price.

These were my favorite figures in the universe when I was 6. Nothing has changed except that the figures now are more awesome than 6 year old me could have dreamed.
