I remember the little vintage Kenner Hoth Leia figure being one of my faves as a kid.

These days - while sure, the Hoth scenes are iconic etc, I'd much prefer an Endor or Boushh Leia in 1/6 scale from HT.

:dunno A HT Leia Boussh wouldn't be that much better than the SSC. People mock the old SSC figs, but it's only the headsculpts and bodies that were junk. For most heroes in basic outfits, a bad headsculpt kills the whole fig, but Leia Boussh is a winner (though the reuse of the Hasbro staff was a cheap shot :lol.)

An Endor and Hoth Leia I would pay Devil's $240 for because good Leia figures are essentially non-existent in 1/6. I'm looking forward to HT's Leias probably more than anything else because it's something we've never seen in the history of SW collecting.

Damn straight. :lecture

(And they reused Hasbro parts on Boussh?)

I'd pay that from Sideshow. Leia in ESB is a cinematic icon for me, on par with Dorothy Gale. I'd expect her to be as high quality as the Red 5 Luke prototype, but I wouldn't flinch if that was what it took to have her in my collection.

Ehh.. it'd need some decent modding all over, for me to even bother with the old SSC one.

The pole appears to be exactly the same sculpt (even examined up close,) though the Hasbro one is longer and the correct length. Maybe it's pure coincidence. Hey, they got the license from Hasbro, why not share some parts...:lol

The pants are wrong, don't love the shiny boots and the shoulder armor is slightly off but on a smaller body it's an awesome figure. If you wanted to go crazy, the Hasbro armor is correct, dull the boots and repaint the pants (and part of the helmet, which isn't yellow/orange enough.)

I bought the whole Boussh (with some parts multiples) for about $35 shipped, so it does have price in its favor. And these days... that's saying something.:rotfl

I think like for most OT fans around here, just seeing a HT Leia - period, is going to be pretty sweet.

I'd even dig her 'Bespin gown' version too.

Yep, I guess I can see it being considered somewhat ancillary, but it's probably my favourite SSC SW release. It'll never get made again, either, and @ $250.00, it's pretty reasonable considering all the unique casting. Personally I love the design, too. Just an awesome looking 'bot.

Yes. :goodpost:

Favourite collectable, hands down.

Just noticed Luke's been pushed back to February... bummer as I was really looking forward to him.

But after seeing the wonky Fives and Echo eyes in person, maybe it's good to wait a bit more :lol

I thought the further delay was a joke.

I can't believe I ordered Han Hoth in January of this year and in all likelihood won't have it in-hand until 15 months later. Likeness or quality aside, I'm beginning to like HT's reveal/release schedule a whole lot more.

HT better delay their releases a bit too or 2015 will be the end of me collecting Star Wars 12":gah:

I'm assuming there will be a ton of delays. At the moment, there is just way too much stuff I have on pre-order scheduled to ship in July. Hoping at least a couple are pushed back.

Yeah, then Scout and bike in july followed by stormtroopers in september, Pilot Luke in october and 3PO in november. Add a few PT releases here and there and that's a $300+/month budget :thud:
