Yup. The dewback was only ever marked down $25 and double rewards didn't happen until it was close to selling out - a long time after it first went up for sale. Sideshow also extended the edition size after it first went up.

During spook the bigger discounts were on really slow moving Hot Toys stuff. I wouldn't expect any big discounts on this guy down the road.

I'm not expecting big discounts, but I'm also not looking to pay full price when the chances a discount will happen are likely. I wish there was some sort of price match guarantee on Sideshow's items or at least a match on rewards points for the "early adopters." Wishful thinking, I know.

You can order with any $20 monthly coupon, which is $20 better than nothing.

I'm not expecting big discounts, but I'm also not looking to pay full price when the chances a discount will happen are likely. I wish there was some sort of price match guarantee on Sideshow's items or at least a match on rewards points for the "early adopters." Wishful thinking, I know.

The risker solution is to wait them out....someday / somebody will part ways with their pieces at great price. I received a Dewback today which I purchased from a board member for $200 shipped..a most impressive piece......I'm not big on the accessory pieces unless crazy deal,so I'll wait on these smelly bastids as well. If it happens go me....if not meh...

The size (and certainly to some extent, the price), is keeping me from ordering it. The Tauntaun will overwhelm the rest of my smallish collection. Not to mention simply not having much space for it.

I have a fair amount of figures coming this year, more than I've had in a while. That's mostly because the dock strike pushed R2 and Hoth Han to this year, and because of the HT SW figures as well. So the Tauntaun just keeps getting pushed further and further down the list. I can ultimately live without it, but a big part of me is hoping I come across an excellent deal that I can't possibly pass on!

The size, is keeping me from ordering it. The Tauntaun will overwhelm the rest of my smallish collection.

I wonder if Sideshow is getting ready to ship this. I saw a post about it on Facebook saying its now available but the product page still lists it as a pre-order. Unless they just meant its available for pre-order but it already has been for a long time. Plus I know it wax mentioned as coming soon in the newsletter.

Last newsletter listed it as "coming in the next 30 days" so it should be in stock some time in february assuming port strikes don't get in the way.

I'm almost thinking of canceling this and waiting until Han and Luke are in hand to decide. The size is my main issue. I never used a coupon on this so if I were to re-order with coupon I'd only be losing $15 in the end. Always a chance it gets discounted too if it sits around. That will also probably be tied to the quality of Han and Luke.

Yeah I'm waiting on Hoth Han and Luke before I commit to getting this. Still not even sure if I will but I'd like to if those figures turn out good.

Just received my notice from Sideshow that this will be shipping in 5-7 weeks. Hopefully by then we are closer to the Luke figure coming out.

5 to 7 weeks... Umm, did they blame this on the port issues too? Like those ships are going to just sit there for another 5 weeks...

Well, unless the shipping companies want to start engaging in some legal drama (doubtful, very expensive for them) than yes, those boats are gonna sit there with our goodies on 'em until the port workers slowly get to them. Until some major company feels any pinch from this, nothing will change, with both sides of the slowdown digging in their heels.

Tauntauns might show in time for spring thaw, if then....

Where will they fit 7 weeks of backlogged ships? They'll have to keep re-suplying the crews on board with food. Anyway, it's already clear that Sideshow's 5-7 week message was just generic BS in any case and can't be used to determine whether or not any particular product has in fact shipped out of manufacturing at all.

the terminals in lb and oak are huge, they just hire more gangs ( workers at the port) and work the ships non stop

In the meantime the vessels on those lanes are rerouted
