I sold my Medi-Yoda on faith that Sideshow would someday make an even better version so I sure hope it is. Judging by the pics so far I will not be disappointed.

Same here. I think I'll be pretty happy with how this will look in-hand. I don't really understand why people were so happy with the Medicom version.

Yeah it was (although some of the Hasbro versions were pretty good with a bit of work). But I've heard a lot of people claim that the Medicom verison looks exactly like the on-screen Yoda, and I just don't see it.

With Medi it was an in-hand thing to me. It's Yoda spot on from all angles.
But when I first seen it I thought it wasn't great. Crap expression etc but having it in hand made all the difference.

I've been on the wait list for the exclusive since 10th August - what do you guys think are my chances of getting it?

I also ordered the regular edition last month, as I didn't want to end up with the hut and no Yoda.... I've already had a notice that he should ship in around 10 days, and I should ensure my card details are up to date (they're not, so I know I'm not going to get charged yet). But now I'm wondering if I should just cancel this one, and hold out for the exclusive (which I really want).

I've never ordered direct from SS before, so any advice would be appreciated.

BTW, I also have the Medicom Yoda, and like it a lot, but I think of that more of a ROTJ Yoda - the SS one looks far more like ESB Yoda IMHO.

Hang in there. Once the exclusive starts processing (next Friday), WL's will convert. Happens every time. That's not a guarantee, but it's too soon to pull the plug.

Thanks for that, sounds promising. I think I'll cancel the regular... and if I end up with neither, it looks like the regular should be easy enough to pick up from a different source.

only complaint is the medi-style ankles and wrists.

but I'm not too miffed at that. He's only costing me 10$.

Not bad, I can dig it. Needs some futzing but I still stand by my Medicom Yoda. He's pretty nice for a ROTJ Yoda. But great work SSC!

Hrrm. So far I'm liking the Medi better. Maybe I'll change my mind once he's in-hand? I hated the Medi until I actually held one. Why is it so difficult to get Yoda 100% right?

Damn that looks freaking awesome. Love the paint apps, detail, and sculpt. Thats one of the better alien figures SS has ever done I'd say.
