How is that photo from Rorywan any different to neo's for DOF? both are focused on the subject. The only difference is Rorywan's background is further away from the figure where as neo's camera has better techniques focusing on the main subject while the background is closer.

Some of these DSLR's even has adobe RGB color profiles for their photos built in as well as user defined color presets for their own liking. Some even have the manufacturers own profiles which depends on camera to camera.

Even if the photo colour was slightly off it's just enough to correct it in Photoshop but it's not drastic the way some are going about it here.

:exactly::exactly:

1. Guys Neo photoshops ALL his pictures. Ask him? He has always said so.

2. I love his photoshopped pics. Each to their own as I said previously, except it would be nice to see raw pics of each of these heads as well. Imagine a new DX came out but no one posted actual pics of the thing as it is? that is all. Especially when the quality of Bobbys heads are being discussed. How can you judge a photoshopped pic?

3. I use a Nikon D7000 top end SLR. As you know these cameras give a more filmic quality. And quite the opposite to what u have said the need to photoshop pics normally comes from the over sharpness of lesser camera and lenses. To give it a film feel.
I work with every camera imaginable all the time, from stills to HD & RED to 35mm anamorphic motion film, even the new Panavision 3D setup. Those pics are photoshopped. Voudon, I wasn't referring to depth of field but actually adding reflections in eyes and general clean up.

4. Who cares, every conversation in here is getting blown out of all proportion. Think I will bow out for a while until SOMEONE ELSE posts some pics. Don't know why i bothered.

I am a professional, those pics are photoshopped. Voudon, I wasn't referring to depth of field but actually adding reflections in eyes and general clean up.

...and most top photographers don't? have you read any discussions on flickr/photo sites etc? Photo's get cleaned up all the time in the professional business.

Not really, it's more like a crazy frenzy has been out of control.

I agree with everything you have just said. In fact those two points are the same points I have been making. The pics are not RAW and this place is gone crazy.

WHy does neo say these latest pics are raw. :dunno

Is he lying?

Is it a miscommunication? (I know English isn't his first language.)

:dunno

Neo: "I will never post pics as what they are because It's not what I like to do! "

You know what? Neo is a really cool nice guy and it doesn't matter.
His pics are great and I'm exhausted from debating something so silly.

Neo: "I will never post pics as what they are because It's not what I like to do! "

I wish you would do a real quote with a working link.

Like this:

Seriously I didn't understand what you think that I have cut and paste and I will never post pics as what they are because It's not what I like to do! ;)

Meaning he did not cut and paste.

Which you accuse him of doing here:

I respectfully don't believe you! That is photoshopped.
:lol

it's not!

I wont say anything else on the subject. I'll let neo speak for himself.

My thoughts: I like all the pics in this thread. But neo's are the best.

Neo has always been my favorite photographer on Sideshow Freaks. :)

Thanks you buddy :)
Seriously there is no problem here ^^

By raw i mean pics that look more natural, more like how i perceive the figure with the naked eye.

oh for gods sake.. read Neo's post!
My apologies for not following the correct "quoting procedure"
:panic:

But here you go:

Where have I said that my latest pics was raw? :)

And one from you Maglor, just for posterity?
:wink1:

I really think neo is not doing any of that. This "blurring" you speak of is all done in camera. The way he uses depth of field is what makes his pictures so great.

Dude.

They aren't photoshopped.
