Ah I need to finish this first and it seems the more I do the more amazing ideas you guys come up with. I think as I am doing stuff, that would be cool. Then someone says why dont you.. and you know me I am just a girl that cant say no!!!
I am so enjoying it. Everything is magic at the mo, with the arrival of Chris's son and I have also found out the cause of my stroke which is great news I feel so fired up!!!!

Very ACES 2 looking silhouette on the seat. That's the standard ejection seat used in the F-16. It might look a bit high behind the head when finished compared to an X-wing. Not bad, but different.

Cheers chaps, yep the cause of my stroke was the fact I have a hole in my heart!! cool so now I am waiting surgery and when I have had that there will me no stopping me
Now today the power has been down all day... chuffin lovely...
But I have done a few bits....
First off I stripped the console ready for a re fit with some lights I hope! Then.... on the the seat, really looked forward to this .

dahh I dont work fast honest I work at a chilled leisurely pace of a 38 year old boy!

It's a really good start. Almost everything looks star wars by the time you glue enough kit bash to it. Considering how much detail changed between the many xwings (the original SW xwing, the Empire 4 foot xwing, the full size xwings, the interior cockpit sets, changes between films, etc...) I think you're safe with some artistic license here and there.
For that matter if you look at the scene in empire where Luke leaves Dagobah there's a wedge shaped step on the side of the fuselage and an incorporated ladder (which presumably retracts into a compartment). In SW there's a round, threaded refueling port under the fore of the fuselage. Since you've borrowed an ejection seat from contemporary fighter you could also have look at some of the ground crew service panels that are open just prior to flight (such as the communication port) and the many 'remove before flight' flags. Also many modern fighter cockpits have a center counsel section that extends to the floor.

That's good news. I was wondering if they could use scopes. Much easier recovery than having your chest cracked.

Holy crow!!! This thing is awesome. Being a new guy around here, I feel like I just remembered it was show and tell day at school, and picked up a leaf I found on the playground on the way in. This will impress them.
