By 2020 earliest, when nobody cares any more. And they'll all be themed Paschas

Cool - apparently I should expect a clear synthetic human to be turning up in the post at some point. I'll try and get some photos when it shows up if anyone'd like to see in-hand images in case any make it to online-sales.

Hell yes! Glad you're getting it. I expect it will make it online. Scalpers are talking a lot of crap on eBay but 1000Toys has said nothing about an edition size or anything. Same for Duke. If you're reading this and on the fence, don't pay a flipper.

Thanks! Yeah I'm hoping shipping is going to work out cheaper this way.

Hah - actually once it arrives a bunch of musical masks is going to happen. I think the clear guy is going to end up with the transparent red mask the Koguto figure came with since I never use it anyway, and the standard guy with the clear mask. (Snake Eyes has pretty much permanently stolen the blank white standard mask, since I preferred the figure as a generic cybernetic ninja than obviously part of a GI Joe set.)

I got a bootleg in the post today. As mentioned before, the legs are a bit loose. And the face mask took a bit of elbow grease to remove. Other than that, it will be a nice cheap base for a cool variant. I just need to get the legs a bit stiffer.

Aw no... The creepy as hell guard robots from Blame! are really really tempting, but I know if I get them I'll start on other 1/12 stuff... I suppose I could have one terrorising the Doctor Who figs - their rather awkward 5 to 5.5" scale is close-ish.

The hip is loose. IF you bring the legs straight forward it will go back down. It is ok lifting to the side though. The left foot is loose. I can pose it, but nothing like the real one. The head is glue tight it seems, so you can't move the eyes. I am going to get some Pledge from Walmart today and see I can tighten the hips. A least I am playing around with it like a toy more than a collectible. If you buy this thinking its like the real thing, you will get disappointed. If you buy it to play with, it ain't bad.

Edit: Lets see Pledge helps...

Do you mind messaging me with a tutorial on the pledge technique? Or is it simply furniture polish into the joint?

I just use a q-tip and apply it to the ball joints and rotating as I go. I let it rest for couple hours. It does help.

And it's just polish?
Or a specific other product?

it's acrylic based clear gloss that adds shine to your marble floors. so it adds a very thin layer onto the joints adding more resistant thus strengthening the joints. you need to move it so the joints won't get stuck like glue.

Ok, be careful to not use the polish too much. Today I tried to move the leg and it was so tight I snapped it. :(

hi, was it too tight or you didn't keep moving it while it dries and the joint got glued together?

I think I put too much coat of polish on it. Left it posing for a while and when I try to repose, the hip joint was too tight and the KO plastic seems cheaper and it snapped. Its price cheap for a reason I guess. ANyways to fix this?

i think the polish glued the joints into the peg. did you wait for the polish to dry before putting the joint back into the slot?

this looks like a complex work to fix, as the peg is stuck inside you need to drill and remove that part, then you need to find a plastic part similar size to the peg, drill holes on both parts and stick a metal rode inside as support, glue the hole & parts back and putty/repaint the newly joint area before you can put it back.

IMO, you should just get another KO, price has fallen alot right now for the KO, $40 a pop. as for the broken one, you can just glue the leg permanently back or mod it.

You can follow this guy's link to fix it.

You can also tighten joints being careful with super glue (also on that site).

hi, i think he replaced polisher with glue, IMO glue is riskier due to it being super adhesive & hard when dried. it's also thicker than Pledge.

Pledge is acrylic easy to remove with alcohol wipes and doesn't harden as much as glue and doesn't damage the plastic/paint (glue melts the surface slightly).

the way it works pretty much the same, just add a think layer of clear to increase friction. when i was a kid i usually stuff tissue between the joints just to make them tighter.
