FIGURE-031980.jpg

Looks like the 1/12 transparent synthetic human is exclusive to AmiAmi. 7020 yen... I'm probably going to pass on it, at that price point.

Man, I always seem to miss these things lol.
1000toys does a great job at keeping their figures tough to get- which is great for the scalpers. But I figure that's also why their toys have the strong cult-like appeal

which is why i stopped buying their items.

To anyone who's ordered 1/6 synthetic humans from 1000Toys' actual website, were you subscribed to their newsletter?
I just subbed last week and I'm hoping that they'll re-release some 1/6 figures in the future. Not sure if subbing to their mail magazine means you get real time updates on when things can be ordered from their site, since I didn't get any email from them about the 1/12 Blame! figures. And I first saw about online orders for the 1/12 clear body on their IG, but even then it was too late. I hope to one day snag one of their 1/6 synthetic humans for retail or close to retail l-- no way I'm paying the prices the scalpers have them for right now. Some of them go for over 300% profit! Kudos to those that can afford that/actually make sales at that price

It turned up today! (Unfortunately was in the middle of something when it showed up, hence the rushed photos and small mountain of red fabric destined to be marked-up with a pattern. (A larger practice run of a certain Bowie outfit I intend to miniaturise) I'll try and grab better photos when I'm not literally in the middle of a project!)

The photos really don't capture quite how glass-like this figure looks in person, hell glass-like is a disservice. It's closer to (hah) the plastic who's name I forget that's 30x more transparent than glass, the plastic is incredibly transparent almost as if it's only visible by it's edges. (If anyone has the far cheaper clear Obitsu bodies to compare, well they look downright cloudy next to this guy)

If the prices go down from their currently optimistically inflated levels (and hey it's possible - I watched with a heavy heart as the original 'Test' SDCC release sold on Evilbay last week for £250GBP, since I couldn't afford to place a bid), I would recommend you pick this one up. Quality-wise the joints feel slightly smoother than my standard release; which is from the slightly maligned later-run with the triangle replacing the spur/gate mark. And in hand the thing looks fantastic - even with the mild disappointment that the head isn't quite as chrome looking as the 1/12 version appears to be.

That looks fantastic, will definitely try to pick one up if they sell them through their webstore. I just missed a Kaigen for a reasonable price and feel pretty down about it, I was considering picking up a standard synthetic human to console myself - you mentioned the later batches being maligned, out of the second and third runs which is considered the best?

Hopefully we can all snag one for retail price via their online shop, whenever orders go live.

Are you limited to only buying 1 figure on their site?

I think I put too much coat of polish on it. Left it posing for a while and when I try to repose, the hip joint was too tight and the KO plastic seems cheaper and it snapped. Its price cheap for a reason I guess. ANyways to fix this?

got mine, the box smashed because they wrapped it with paper as packaging...

anyway broke the wrist peg because it was so tight...

anyone know if the lower arms are snapped together or glued? can't seperate the piece to take out the peg. pliers too thick to get in and it'll probably crush the peg.

dapro regarding your joint i notice the thigh are just snap together you can probably pry it apart to take out the broken joint.

mine had the joints around the upper thigh area loose but it can still stand. can that part be taken out?

overall the joints are really fragile so becareful.

the paint app well 1 came gloss the other came pretty matte... some scratches here & there.

I am afraid to break it. Still trying to figure out a way to take the broken peg out of the leg.

hi, i played around with it, that area that broke off is pretty tight, i wonder why did you add Pledge to that joint? when i turn it, seems that part wants to separate out as it's only snapped together, so you can try to pry from the broken joint area, any scuffs won't be noticeable from outside.

anyway how did you tighten the ball joint on the upper thighs? 1 of the upper arm is also abit loose, how do you add pledge on it?

also anyway to remove the broken wrist peg? i think it uses unique type of joint.
