Mine has shipped and will be here next Monday.

Dang nabbit!! Mine is in "About to ship" status. My ledger balance is showing that my card's been charged but no shipping notice yet! Argh! Then again if they ship it out tomorrow I should have it by Thursday! Come on processing/shipment folks.

Thanks for the link to more pics. I love posts with pics. However, it appears that in these pics Aragorn may have had some collagen injected into his lips.:lol

:lol :lol Indeed! Yeah.... I really think that the costume can look fantastic if properly weathered... I can't wait to get mine and test this theory out. I'm really excited about it.

I'm just hoping that... ignoring the paintjob, and the lesser detail on the hair, and the shiny hard looking vinyl coat... that we can get those collars of the coat to sit down through redressing..... it looks like a 12" figure... as opposed to the prototype, which looked like a real coat on a real person

is it a great figure though? of course it is

The hair is bendable, those are good photos, but it doesn't look like he tried to put the coat under the hair, which helps a great deal in how the coat fits.

I'm new to these boards but old to Sideshow. I can not tell you how much I'm looking forward to Aragorn and the rest of the LotR line. I have bought many 1/6 scale military figures but in my heart of hearts I have always desired a high quality fantasy based 12" inch figure. I know it doesn't look like the prototype but it's still going to be awesome.

I'm with ya! This is going to be an amazing line to collect. And it's just beginning... I can't wait to see where it'll be a year from now. By then we should all have our Gandalf the White SDCC exclusive! ;)

At the rate we are going, in a year from today we may have 2 more figures announced and one shipping soon. I figure about 3 to 4 figures a year from this line. Which is actually perfectly fine with me.

Gandalf in any form is the figure I want most. He is my favorite character from any story...um  , next to Kurgan, I mean :D . Sorry, King, please don't revoke my membership.

But seriously, Gandalf is the one figure I want to see in 1/6 scale more than any other and Sideshow is the company I want to make him. So times are good.

I agree. I collect enough other stuff that this pace is perfect. I understand others wanting them faster but it's a great pace for me.

That rate suits me fine. I predict Gandalf the Grey announced in the 1st Q and Gandalf the White as the SDCC exclusive. You heard it here first!

Or maybe not. :monkey1
