Sorry, GB, no nudies with LOTR. Its way too hard to undress him now, plus I couldn't get the boots off. Those special shots are just for SW alone.

But here's my final pix for the day:

just curious, does it hurt alot when you kick yourself? :monkey5

I just got my tracking number so I have to wait til next Thursday to find out but I'm really looking forward to getting this line going.

Wow. Nice job Wor-Gar. You really brought out the likeness.

You got me even more stoked. Mine can not arrive fast enough.

I got mine a little while ago and got very lucky with the paint apps, despite my incessant griping... the beard on my figure is actually painted a lighter shade of brown and not as heavy as some of the figs we've seen here... plus the mustache is sparingly painted so the lips don't look all "platypuss-y"...

The face paint apps are very good as well, much like LOTRfan's...

Maybe they corrected the darker beard in paint apps and switched to a lighter tone, don't know but if you get one like this it you'll be fine with it...

Also the lighter brown tone was used in the eybrows so it's not that bad, the expression is still an inquisitive one but not the dreaded "clueless" look...

I still think the eyes are a wider looking sculpt than the proto and the eyebrows do sit higher as well but this beard, when painted correctly or closer to it makes all the difference as Wor-Gar has shown us with all his efforts.:D

The jacket is a darker green and is duller than we have seen as well so, for me, I will simply "dirt sponge" it, meaning dipping a wet sponge into a bowl of dirt/mud and dabbing it all around until I get the effect I want. This way it actually looks film-accurate and it's reversible...

Anyone notice how short Aragorn is to Qui-Gon or other SW figs? He's even a tad shorter than Obi-Wan, with a much smaller head. I actually like the proportions on the Aragorn figure better than the SW figs -- he looks more "real" at a distance. He'll fit in nicely with most of my other 12" figures.

Is he as short as Luke???

NIce job on the face, but we shouldn't have to do this. I thought Aragorn looked more in proportion.

Nice! :D

I have been futzing with mine more, and found that getting rid of the left "slug," Aragorn's right makes a big improvement on the facial presence. I will try to get a pic up in a bit.

I got him yesterday, and my digital camera is in the mail, so no pics just yet, but the pleatehr coat is better than pictures let on, the detail on all of the accessories are really unbelievable, and the likeness is definitely there, just a little heavy on the beard. Wor-gar's transformation probably looks 100x better in person too. My only gripe is that the beard is too full, and the coat has only one color dirt on it. He is really amazing in person, and I don't usually alter figures, but I now I can get him to be spot on with just a little thinner facial hair. Thanks for all the pictures wor-gar!
:chew
