I just watched RotK and I can't wait to see him in his Ranger outfit, as he is trying to defend Osgilliath from the Orcs!

I would say that Ranger gear is more likely because the gondorian soldier gear is basically armor and they cant release that or they will be alot of screaming Star Wars fans.

Plus this way you can get some really cool Sideshow pieces. I really like the Minas Tirith and Argonath bookends. At that price its really worth it I would think. I paid $50 for each of mine the first day they were released.
The cheapest I found the extendeds together was $53 from Overstock.com. For $68 you can get all of the extra stuff from the gift sets. I never have used overstock but I have used DeepDiscount and have always been satisfied with my purchase, plus they ship everything for free.

I don't follow the Star Wars board that closely. Why would they be upset if Faramir came in his armor?

BTW, I do have Aragorn on the way and Legolas too, but other than those two 12" figures I have no interest at all in any LOTR 12" figs unless they're in armor. I'm really hoping I don't have to wait a year or more to get an Elf in prologue or Helms Deep armor, or a Gonorian or Rohirrim soldier in armor. I'd even get another Aragor if he was in armor. With my luck the only figures in armor we'll get are Sam and Frodo in the orc armor.

Sideshow said they arent ready to make armoured characters and the armor for a Gondorian would be more intricate than almost any of the stormtroopers or clonetroopersthat they are waiting to make. Basically the Star Wars fans would not be happy. They would probably start calling Sideshow out and I can only imagine the flame war that would insue between some of the Star Wars fans on the board.

I'd love to see the armor. But I know it'll be ranger gear. It's more iconic of the character. He only wore that armor in one scene.

Exactly! Even IF they did the Gondorian armor.... it would only be validation that we are indeed getting armored characters soon from SW, so you would think people will be happy. Besides, they did armor pretty well for Evil Ash, and the Gondorian armor would not be much different. Just a little bit more intricate. But the system for attachment would be about the same.

But we all know it will be ranger gear, it's more iconic for the character. It's what he wore throughout two of the films. Remember, Boromir wore the armor too! So maybe when they DO release these figures in full armor, they could do a "Two Brothers" package with both of them.

I want Sideshow to eventually make the armored characters for LOTR, but for now, I want the Ranger outfit and all other iconic outfits.

Remember, Boromir wore the armor too! So maybe when they DO release these figures in full armor, they could do a "Two Brothers" package with both of them.

UHHHHH...I would buy the brother two pack. Maybe the Boromir Exclusive will be the flag he holds up when he takes back osgiliath....
