Anyone see the opening of the Superbowl? Harrison's eye color did seem more green than anything else, but they are definitely a color that's hard to pin down.
You apparently didn't follow the Aragorn as Strider debacle when that figure was announced. The hue and cry were almost deafening. There were fan-created "correction" pics to "prove" how off the sculpt was, how the eyes, nose, mouth and chin were all absolutely, positively, completely, 100% totally wrong. There were many who insisted that the sculpt had to be corrected to match the fan-created pics, or they would never buy the figure. And yet, after more pics were released, the din faded away, and the majority of the detractors ended up happily buying the figure on priority pre-order day.Poggle the Greater said:I don't recall anyone on any forum saying the actors likeness was this off regarding Luke,Obi or Anakin.
I'm just hoping SS addresses these complaints and changes the figure because I'd really love to have it if could look like the one in that fan corrected pic.
Does he play for Pittsburgh?Darklord Dave said:Anyone see the opening of the Superbowl? Harrison's eye color did seem more green than anything else, but they are definitely a color that's hard to pin down.

I am sure that there will be those who stick to their guns with regard to their dislike of the Han figure, but I also know that many, many of the complainers will change their opinion when more pictures are released.
On the other hand, I doubt that more pictures will cause any significant negative change in opinion from those who are either already pleased, or taking a wait-and-see view before making up their minds.

I think you're forgetting that the final look of these figures is not up to us, we have to answer to a higher power. I know this portrait (as most do) underwent many, many, many revisions requested by the licensor. I've got a casting of the portrait right in front of me, and it DOES look exactly like Harrison Ford. I haven't seen the face painted yet, but the sculpt is brilliant in my opinion.

Oh, give us a little more credit than that. We are fans of this material, and we want this product to be the best it can be as much (and more) than anyone. Besides, even if we were rushing this line (which we most definitely aren't), Star Wars isn't exactly a fleeting property who's hype we need to 'make a quick buck' on. Star Wars has been a HUGE icon for almost 30 years, I don't think we need to pump anything out 'as fast as we can' for these to be successful. Rest assured that we are taking our time to make these figures the best that we possibly can and giving this license the respect it deserves.
edit: And for God's sake, does that Pamela figure have to show up in every thread? And be re-posted multiple times to boot?

lol! Screen-accurate Mynock eyes! The new benchmark for SW collectible acceptability!Seretur said:I'm not even going to go into the whole I've-seen-Harrison's-eyes-IRL-and-they-were-bluegreen argument again.
What I'm gonna do, on the other hand, is say that I'M POSITIVELY, DEFINITIVELY NOT BUYING THIS FIGURE IF THE MYNOCK LIKENESS ISN'T EXACT. INCLUDING ITS EYE COLOR. Although, admittedly, I haven't seen a live Mynock.
Yet.

a duplicate version would be to make the ANH han solo in 1/6th scale.
DarkArtist81 said:Exactly! His pants no longer had red dashes along the side, but yellow dashes, his shirt was different and the vest was replaced with the jacket. To top it all off his face aged and hair changed. To me, this version was the ultimate Han. He was never more bold or full of himself as he was during this film. Awesome character choice!.... And it is NOT in any way like the 1:4th scale Han...
this one is waaay more scruffy lookin'!![]()
