Hi All,

Have some updates for everyone! The estimated shipping weight for this piece has been changed. It is actually estimated to be 27 lbs and not 7 lbs. The materials being used to create this piece are: Poly-resin/stone, and cut/sew elements (for the saddle bags, saddle, etc).

Thanks for dropping in and giving the scoop on the specs of the material used and weight correction.

I'll definitely be getting one, but the fact that this is coming 4th Q is keeping me from doing it now. I'm sure it'll still be available after then.

I caved too, it is a little overpriced for my liking and I have no idea where I can put this monster on display; but my goodness is this thing cool!

Also, I can not wait for Sideshow to do this all again with a Hoth Han + Tauntaun.

No more so than Jabba's slab or Emperor's throne... this is a "seat" for the Sandtrooper. Really friggin' cool seat!

Yeah but neither of those have any implied expectations of articulation...a chair is a chair...a platform is a platform.

Although this is cool, it had so much potential to be 1000% better. And while this looks miles ahead of the Hasbro DB, it ends up only being marginally better due to the lack of articulation.

I would venture to guess that is primarily what separates the 1/6th scale collectors from the statue collectors...the desire to have articulation and poseability options :huh

That's true...this thing looks amazing to say the least.

I would have surely paid $400-$500 for a fully articulated version. This could have been the Tumbler of SWs! Maybe they thought folks would not have spent that much for it.

I just find it kind of odd that all of the real big creatures/environments are from Tatoonie. Jabba, Jabba wall, Han wall, cantina1, cantina2, Dewback, etc. Sideshow really seems to favor the desert planet don't they. Makes me think a Rancor might not be out of the realm of possibility. Hopefully he would be vinyl like Jabba though with some articulation.

And the first vehicle will probably be a sandspeeder too :lol

Well, Tatooine did play a huge part in the original trilogy, and when I think about what other creatures from the OT might be appropriate for a 1/6 scale line, the only thing that really comes to mind is a tauntaun (and wampa).

I still think a 1/6 scale rancor would be unworkably huge, but I would like to see it too.
