Although I have no idea what you are talking about "The legs even click in place for added strength"

Not having my Indy yet, I'm not sure, but could be that the Pro is made like a Dragon body where the joints almost seem to click when you pose the figure. I kind of like that. The couple figures I have on Dragon bodies, it makes me feel more confident in the joints that they seem to lock into every other position with that clicking.

Maybe. But I'm personally not keen on spending nearly $100 on a figure and then having to shell out $30 more for a functional body. :duh

Hoping mine doesn't suffer from LJS (Loose Joint Syndrome™).

Well, even in all its looseness, it at least holds poses, which is most important.

SSC wanted to use Trev's original portrait sculpt with hair that looks like it should when Indy isn't wearing a hat, but to properly scale a hat to Indy's head, they found the only way was to sculpt a hat on one head and include a second head with no hat and include a loose hat that was in the same scale as the one on the head for doing poses where he's holding it. They never intended to make the hat wearable. SSC's very smart in this area, if they feel they can't do a wearable hat or helmet without sacrificing the look of the portrait they won't. Belloq and Toht have loose hats bacauce theire hair and heads can be done such that they look fine with or without the hat on.

Sounds like a good idea. However compairing the hat on the head and the loose hat, one can see that the loose hat has a smaller crown and brim than the permenant hat. At least, the one I received was this way. So the explaniation is a wash. Thanks anyway.

Sorry but that's the explanation. You either make the hat over sized and therefore out of scale so that it fits over normal hair, or you make it more in scale, which requires the underlying hair to be unnaturally flat when the hat's off. You can't have 1/6 scale removable headgear of this type and hard hair without something not looking right so in my opinion SS made the right choice.

Can someone take a pic with the hatless head...with the hat on? Just curious....

Before I even tried to put the "hatless head" sculpt on to the neck post I tried to put the loose fedora hat on the hatless head...and it won't fit. I guess that extra fedora is just for Indy to hold in his hand? I guess I could put the hatless head sculpt on the neck post, and have Indy hold the fedora hat. I just wish the loose fedora hat would fit on to the hatless head sculpt. I tried pulling the head with the fedora hat off of the neck post...but it's tough! I couldn't get it off, and I didn't want to mess it up, so I left it on the neck post. I still plan on making a Professor Jones with the hatless head sculpt on another body. Possibly on a Hot Toys True Type body.

Nooooooo!!!!!!!!

My Indy was supposed to be delivered today but UPS rescheduled delivery for tomorrow! He's here in town too! Well, I guess I have waited this long, I can wait another day, but I made plans to leave work early today and everything :-(

Why? That's why they included 2 heads. I'm so glad they didn't go the removable hat route as it never would've looked right with either a slicked down hat-hair sculpt or, more likely, an oversized hat that looked off. Sideshow gave us the best possible solution.

Mine will be here tomorrow:banana As long as the arms and head hold poses I'm good. I use the stands for all my figures. Two cats and a clumsy GF make me use stands for all my 12" anyway. Indiana Jones will soon be in my grasp! Words can't explain how excited I am. so I'll do this:
:banana:chew:banana:chew:banana:chew:banana:chew

Well...
Hot Toys CAN do it:

Yea, but i think it depends on the hair. That spirit guy has a buzz cut, so the hat is will be easier to do. Indy has raised sculpted hair.

And Michael Jackson's hat looks goofy on him. The hat looks too big or his head is too small.

That proves nothing. The top figure has hardly any hair at all so the hat can be in scale, and the Jackson hat looks oversized a bit.

Sculpted hat head and hatless head were the only way to go for Indy. Sideshow's done the removable hat with Belloq and Toht, if they felt it'd look right for Indy I'm sure they'd have done it that way, the route they went is much more trouble, within the same box they had to try and match a paint job on 2 heads, one had and one head would have been much easier.

Just got off the phone with UPS center here in town. I called to see if I could possibly come down there and pick up my Indy in person, but apparently not :-( I know I did this before when I ordered a new motherboard for my PC, but that was years ago. Heck, just finding an actual local number to talk to a real, live person there was a task in itself. Man, it is killing me that I have to wait a whole extra day...sigh...

I'm glad they went for two separate heads. The Medi head looks like a Mountie with the hat on; Toys McCoy looked great with the hat and okay without it, but the hair on the Toys McCoy looked a tad too slicked back when hatless (still a great sculpt with a lot of character).

Sure, they could have tried for a removeable hat and might just have achieved perfection, but I find it hard to believe it would have been better than what we got.

Much prefer the two heads. As has been stated too many times has it been tried the other way only to look like crap. Really no better way to do things than the route SS went.

Was hoping Indy might arrive a day early but he's at the UPS sort facility just teasing me until tomorrow.
