Okay, I figured out something that is making the SS Indy look "off".

He doesn't have a tan!!!!!!!

This has been "3rd Quarter" since the official announcement. I'm still guessing August.

They should have timed it better from the start, though.

Yeah, I'm sure they wanted to ^^^^ around with Indy and push it back.

It's not just Indy though. ANH Obi-Wan and Leia shipped in Fall/Winter when May was the anniversary, and Han and Luke are coming out this year, a year after it. They just don't put things out to directly coincide with particular events. Plus it's another LFL license, so they might have been on track to have an Indy out to go with the new movie but things out of their hands delayed it. They also switched bodies as Trev's original sculpt was necked, so that's changed things. I'd think you'd be happy to wait longer as one of the bigger advocates to do away with the Buck, and get the best Indy you can from Sideshow than to get one at the time of the movie that's subpar.

You'd think but then what would there be to complain about.

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, just saying it's not like SW gets any better treatment regarding releases than other lines, if it did, ANH Luke, Ben, Leia and Han all would have been at CIV and weren't. It's just the name of the game, but like always with Sideshow, as eager as I get for figures, I'm always willing to wait if it's for the better, and certainly Prometheus over the Buck is the best thing ever to wait longer for.

I know. I'm just stating no matter how perfect things are working people will complain. SS has made IMO the best Indy ever in this scale and just because it isn't coming out this month or early next they screwed up. I don't subscribe to that line of thinking because if Indy has to come out in July to be made as perfect as possible I'm ok with that.

You gotta admire Carl's passion though, I don't know him too well, but I'd guess this is THE figure of all figures for him.

Carl's a great guy. Got to know him a little rooming last year at SDCC. He is quite passionate about Indy and I understand being someone of the same mind myself.
