If Sideshow did a second chance for this figure would these problems be resolved or would it be unchanged (this includes paint)?

Second Chance just means that it was once sold out but they've gone through inventory and have a fair number still around and what once was sold out is now available again, you have a second chance to buy it, but nothing is done to the pieces, they're exactly the same as the rest.

Thanks! I have one more question though: if I bought mine off of eBay and for example, he came with a ripped shirt, would I still be able to replace it?

Just got my Indy today! This is so far my favorite Sideshow figure. My only nit pick is that the torso seems undersized, I don't know if that has been discussed or not....now to decide what to do with my relic hunter gear and clothing.... I'm def. going to get another to weather the heck out of it! I'm just giddy! Please excuse me.....I missed out on the Toys MCoys version years ago and I'm just happy that I was able to get this one. :blissy

It all depends on who you get it from. If it's a company like Sideshow that sells stuff and has an eBay store, they may be able to get one from Sideshow on your behalf and get it to you, if it's just someone that bought a few extras to sell, probably have lesser chances of getting things squared away. It's definitely a gamble buying something on eBay you may need replaced/fixed. I'd try a true store like www.toys2.net if you're concerned before any old eBay sellers.

Chalk and weathering dust are working to good effect, so far. Also, I've found that a high-grit sanding pad is producing some nice results as well. Different than the sand-paper technique we're used to, but it just might work.

A little hot water goes a long way as well. I just soaked my jacket, wrung it out, wadded it up in a ball and let it dry. It picks up a lot of wrinkles which give it more character. Add your chalk and dust technique (or some Fuller's Earth) and it's a pretty cool jacket!

Too bad the wrists and feet aren't like the TrueType, for the shoulders I'd love to put HT Jack Sparrow onto a Pro instead of the TT.

The SS boots fit the TT ankle pegs perfectly. I had to boil the boots a bit to pull out the SS pegs then pop the boots onto the TT body. Nice and snug, too.
As for the wrist pegs, all you have to do is cut the SS pegs down the same height as the TT pegs and they fit fine. Also, nice and snug.

I just messed around with mine, and I've gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised. I was taken aback by the huge gap under his butt, I thought the legs were about to fall off. Mine had a loose neck, but once I turned it around, so the adam's apple was facing forward, it got a bit tighter.

I think the one big oversight was a whip-grabbing hand. I hate using the pistol-grip for a regular gripping hand.

The next step for Sideshow is to start weathering their figures. I just look at Hot Toys' Jack Sparrow, and even though he's not grimy, he looks worn-in, which is something Indiana desperately needs.

And FINALLY, FINALLY, FINALLY, a Sideshow figure has that lateral movement in the ankles, so both feet can be flat on the floor!!! That was what made me the happiest.

I have my Indy now, and I'm just thrilled with him. The neck is a little wobbly (though not a big deal if he's staying stationary) but besides that I'm really not having the loose joint problems that others are complaining about. He's easily one of my favorite figures from Sideshow.

Got mine today from Corner Store Comics. Since I'm hearing lots of people who are getting the regulars haven't been shipped yet, I'm going to buy the entire Indy line from them.

I'm blown away by this figure. It is so much better than I thought it would be. Remember when I said I'd hold judgement until I had both Medicom and Sideshow in my hand? That day is here and there is no contest. SIDESHOW WINS!!!!! I thought they would, but I wanted to wait until it was in hand.

Trevor, you did an amazing job with the sculpt. I hope they have you do Indy for the rest of the line. Truely, a first rate sculpt. There aren't enough good things to say about what you did. I was one of the people who thought the face looked fat in the proto-pictures, but I'm greatful to be wrong.

The joints on mine aren't bad except the hips. Those are really wobbly. So, I'm using one of those old crotch-grabber y-stands. It holds him up fine.

Got mine yesterday but haven't opened it. I'm gonna give it to a bigger Indy fan than I for X-Mas.

Anyone know if the regular is still available anywhere?

I agree that the jacket is underrated. Every jacket in the past from customs and McCoy and Relic Hunter have been far too thick - in the film it's a pretty thin, flexible jacket and hangs on Ford more like a windbreaker than a leather jacket. They got that right.

I've been attempting weathering with sandpaper and paint, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Yep. The Jacket is definitely underrated. I love how thin it is and to me it does feel what leather would feel like at this scale.

I've been trying to distress mine a little by hand. Kneeding it and folding it over and over. I packed it into a tight little ball and left it over night. We'll see how it comes out.
