It's a good likeness, but far from dead on.

It was never an exact likeness. sometimes it looks sorta like him, most times it doesn't. It's the biggest miss (sculptwise) of them all so far in my opinion. Maybe I'll photoshop some other sam jackson characters features over the mace windu later when i get a chance. Should be fun!

while you're photoshopping, can you put darker eyes on the face? Just the eyes - nothing else? I think thats what is making it look "off" Sam's eyes are a lot darker in real life!

I like this figure,the likness is not perfect but not bad.

I read this and laughed my ass off. You managed to put into one sentence what a lot of people on this board seem to think of CF.

Wow guys, I"m kinda new here so maybe I don't know how CF is always like, but we should be like a bunch of little fonzies. Cool.

Anyway, sorry, I didn't see the request to darken eyes in the shots but I was kinda sneaking these during work so... they're sloppy.

While I was doing these, the overall result wasn't as poor as I thought they'd be, but I do notice little things that are absolutely wrong.

Sam Jackson's nose needs to be a little flatter/smaller... the shape I mean. I don't know how to describe it. But it's like he can really flare them nostrils up when he's mad and the Sideshow version doesn't really look like they can.

Well.. you guys take a look. I only picked 4 movies. I wanted to do more but I didn't have my Mace figure gallery at work... just a few.

The head angle I used here is way off, so it's a little big. Result... not too great.

Hehe... ok for some reason i couldn't find a decent shot of Jules from Pulp Fiction! I made do with a really lo-res..

Here's where it's really off. Yes, it kinda looks like him but his eyes are way too small. And again with the nose. It's close though.

And this one is my favorite actually since I was able to find a hi-res shot of it... from Caveman's Valentine.

So, ignoring my sloppy photoshopping... does this change how some of you view the sculpt?

I think I agree with you, KitFisto. I'll even say that they should be a tiny bit "bug-eyed", if you will.

I've got my Kit scheduled to arrive at home today so I'll be able to throw in my 2 cents worth as well, but based on the pics so far, I think that the "eyes" are throwing this one off a little.

Yes..... I agree, this figure isn't dead-on or even perfect. But then again, what figure is?? This is the only figure I know that comes even close to looking like Sam Jackson. So just be glad you have one, until something better comes along!

Thanks guys, I will post a pic of my complete display later tonight abstractharmony. My display case is all glass display, its 48 inches wide, 84 inches tall, and 21 inches deep.
