Actually my sunflower patch but hey....

Came home from my trip to the North Rim to find the Vapaad master on the doorstep.

Quick impressions: Yay! No crushed box!!! As always, pics don't do the figure justice (although several folks here did post some good ones) and I also really enjoyed the fact that this was the most futz-free figure yet! Other than the standard undress/dress/adjust and wet finger-iron, he looked good in record time!
Good paint apps, although his eyes seem a tad light to me. Mr. Jackson's eyes are more dark and intense than what's presented here. But hey, at least the hair isn't too dark

Seriously, Mace is lookin' good...

Here's my MACE all futzed up. Actually, not much work was needed here; just a redress to sort out the clothing after a wee bit of ironing. I tried to give him a bit of paunch too but it really doesn't show...

Next up: get that cloak on him after its water treatment...

I think that may be the idea: Show us great proto pics, then later reveal some disappointing prod pics to lower expectation, then you get the figure and its never as bad as your lowered expectations. Anakin was close but we haven't received a figure yet that everyone was disappointed with. Not yet anyway.

And I have to say that I'm really happy with Mace. He looks great. When you stand back and just look at him, its Mace Windu! Dare I say, its even SLJ!

yeah, I repainted the eyes a bit. Make it looks up a little more.

BTW, are the lightsabers supposed to "snap" into the clip on the belt or just sort of hang there? Meaning, do I need to force the hilt down until I hear a click or something?
