This is ____ing horrible... and there I was at my showing worrying about some douche spoiling the film while I was in line. :lol

:(

exactly,a vehicle is one of the most dangerous things in the world and causes millions of deaths,I guess we should ban those too!

Nope you have to pass a test and get a license. Something you don't have to do do purchase a firearm. Plus you need to provide more ID to get a drivers license than a gun license.

I gotta agree with you here dude...
Show some respect people... this isn't the place for crap like this... seriously...

It's a civilized discussion. No one has mentioned politics. No one is abusing anyone else. Not sure why this is crap.

I will support any idea the effectively keeps guns away from those who would act cruelly with them without affecting the rights of those who would act responsibly.

I will not support the idea of depriving the entire population of a right or even a priveledge in an effort to thwart the ne'er-do-wells. And I consider it to be lazy and cowardly to do so.

Some reports also say that not all 71 were injured by gunfire, so saying this is the worst mass shooting in US history just yet may be saying too much. Another report is saying the casualties make it the largest mass shooting in US history - uh, have they forgotten the Virginia Tech school shooting a few years back? I'd call that one "worse", considering three times as many were killed.

We won't have the facts from this case for a while. Right now, everything is unclear due to the chaos.

I'm just going off the police commissioner or cheif of that county himself in a live interview they played, he said the number was 71 shot, of that 71 12 died from their injuries. The anchors are saying that makes it the worst in history because of the overall number directly injured by the gunman himself I guess?

Me too. Here's the thing. It's also lazy and cowardly to refuse to differentiate between them. We've gotten soft and politically correct in regards to not identifying mentally ill or otherwise unfit to hold that responsibility.

How do we identify those without abusing the power to decide between the two.

My sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, injured and to those who witnessed this horrific act.

I have one question, was it true that an infant was killed during this rampage? If so who the ____ takes a child, any child to a midnight showing of any movie?

No, the infant was not killed nor shot. It's been released from the hospital already. Probably suffered effects from the smoke.

I am certain that if the right minds got together on it and made an effort, they could figure it out.

In the mean time...punishing those who are responsible for themselves is not the answer. And nobody has the authority to do so.

That's the problem. It's the same problem with a lot of things. We want a safe country but freak out if big brother is looking over our shoulder. We can't have it both ways. We cant have a safe country without giving up some freedoms and we can't have all the freedoms we want and not have a dangerous country. It's the classic catch 22. You want a gun? Fine..background check, mandatory 60 hour training session followed up by yearly lessons. No ak47 rifles, no rocket launchers. No armor piercing bullets. And same goes for driving...tests should be must stricter..I didn't even have to parallel park with mine. But people will complain that this takes away from their privacy rights...it's an impossible situation.

As long as politicians are corrupted by money the right minds will never get together..both sides included. But that's a whole separate thread.

Re: 14 shot dead at movie theater

he'll get his in prision..my cousin told me once what happens to people that commit crimes involving children

I would actually pay for this to happen. Not with cash, but probably send a couple cartons of smokes as payment.

Re: 14 shot dead at movie theater

I was wondering the same thing. Some people shouldn't be able to produce.

Do you think they would have brought their baby there if they knew what was going to happen? Maybe the maybe fell asleep at 11 and normally sleeps 5 hours without another feeding..so the parents thougt, let's go see a movie while she sleeps. Not a crazy thought...I'm sure they didn't think some _______ would shoot people. Don't blame the parents in this situation.

And this in no way justifies any intrusion into the rights or priveledges of those who are not committing these cruel acts.

And if they aren't "good" do you want your family in between them? It's one thing to have a trained law official drawing and shooting..it's another to have a 20 year old thinking it's call of duty in real life. Thing with getting a gun is you don't need any training. Don't even have to pass a vision test. :lol

you don't need training to learn how to use a gun.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out or use it.:cuckoo:

ALL persons have the right to protect themselves from crazies like this

Wow...you don't think you need to learn how to use a firearm? Riiiight. No point talking with you anymore.

And that's what scares me about random people having a gun. Nope...I don't need to learn how to use this thing. You point it and click the R1 trigger then I hit triangle to reload and L2 for a flash bang.

sure, you learn from your father (like I did) or someone who knows the weapons...not 'force' someone to go through 60 hrs training just to own a gun or be allowed to use one...:cuckoo:

your right, you're liberal minded,so I am done talking to you aswell
