The thing is though that people can come up with any kind of scenario to justify why they should have something. Which is why I'm not going to debate this. I will be the first to admit I know diddly squat about guns...but as a regular, law abiding citizen, I have my questions and concerns about certain things which is why I will continue to lurk in the thread.

That's what I find weird about his motives. Obviously he wanted to kill a large amount of people. But he didn't try to kill everyone. He could have very easily made himself a bomb that could have killed everyone in that theatre.

I think he mostly wanted attention. He posted on an Adult Friend Finders page a quote that said "who's going to visit me in jail"

I am guessing he told police about the bombs in his apartment because he didn't want the death penalty for killing a cop. Who knows, its all speculation on my part at the moment.

Questions are perfectly fine and there are people on here trying to answer some of them. People keep saying how they see no reason for civilians to have a semi-automatic, and we give logical explanations but it isn't good enough for some. Many countries are teetering on economic collapse. No fantasy there just listen to the news. in an event like that do you not think that crime will take off? Look at what happened in the LA. riots? I have a rifle because I like to shoot as a hobby. I have the type of rifle I have just in case.
