I'd rather see this thread locked than have to choke down one more soapbox post.

Dont't think threads like this need to even be on this forum. But that's just me, I understand a lot of people like to voice their opinions about such matters.

I actually agree with you wholeheartedly Chase. We all know how these things end. Not one of us board regs who have posted for years, could say we didn't see this coming. I am actually surprised the thread made it this far.

Norwegian press only posts victims names, not killers.
hey hardly mention his name, and instead focus on the victims. complete opposite of here, Many newspapers could learn from this:

I usually don't either, mainly because they serve little purpose, and always turn into the same ****fest of sanctimony and hate. But people have been genuinely crushed by this massacre.

I hoped it could be different this time. :dunno

It's a toy forum. What do you expect? lol

the beginning of the article reminded me of this kid in school. He would often steal from his mom's purse and he would often be violent. He would raise knives to his mom all the time and one time he stole her car and drove off. He would often break the windows in his house or the dinner plates.
I knew because I was friends with his sister but I hated walking with her home because we never knew what he was going to do. He was scary, I never really asked but they seemed to suffer a lot because of him. I never knew what happened to them after they moved.

Call me crazy, but I think it trivialities the events posting on a toy forum, talking with loved ones and friends about events like this makes more sense to me. Especially when people start posting their own agenda rhetoric, what happened it just used to push their own ideas onto other people.

And that is why the internet sucks.

Again, getting no argument out of me.

I don't know about that. I say it's like that even when you go offline, but people seem to make more bolder ridiculous comments, thinking they are safe behind a computer. I have had some good conversations with you that doesn't have either one of us enforcing our opinions onto the next person. Granted that's 1-on-1. In a bigger arena, things get stupid. Either way, I am heading back to bed.
