Hard to believe this film will be 20 years old next year. While I never got the chance to see this in theaters (too young) I watched the hell out of the VHS tapes when I was a kid. Had the micromachine sets, the T2 and 3D Kenner figures (boy have action figures improved) and most of the video game versions my favorite being the T2: Arcade game on the Sega Genesis.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

Saw it the week it opened in Los Angeles my junior year in high school. It was awesome driving around town afterward and imagining semis chasing motorcycles through all the canals.

Yeah, it's crazy. Time goes by so fast. I was 11 when this came out and did see it with my brothers and pops. I remember the theatre was so packed, people was sitting on the aisle!!! Good memories.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

Wow, that long ago. I was lucky enough to see it in a theater... a few times. :)

Re: 19 years . . . today.

Saw it in the theater with me mum at the ripe old age of 20 :lol

Excellent flick, but - the first still owns IMO.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

It's no The Terminator, but it's a good movie.
This is true.

I was a bit young to see this in the theater, but saw it soon after it came on video and enjoyed it back then. It really shouldn't have been rated R, IMO. Nowadays it would probably be PG-13.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

The Terminator was the first film that really attracted me to movies and set the stage for my favorite past time. T2 was an excellent conclusion to an awesome story/film. I remember seeing it multiple times in theatres when I was 15. I do prefer T1 over T2 but both films are very special to me. Both 10/10's imo.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

I remember avoiding all the TV spots before it came out to go in as "cold" as possible. I just assumed that Arnold would be back as another villain and didn't find out otherwise until John saw him in the mall. I was totally blown away and completely unprepared for Arnold to be the good guy and was buzzing about that for the whole movie. I also remember the entire auditorium cheering when he unloaded his M-16 into the T-1000 during the tanker chase.

That movie is the definition of a crowd pleaser. I re-watched it recently when I got my T-800 figure, and it was even better than I remembered.

As far as early 90s movies go, though, it can't touch Unforgiven, which I also re-watched recently, and which was also better than I remembered ;)

Re: 19 years . . . today.

best movie ever made imo.
seriously? like, literally the best movie ever made compared to every movie ever?
or just the ones youve seen? either way, you've seen a lot of ____ty movies to want to say that.

anyway, i saw T2 in the theaters when i was a kid and loved it.
then i grew up and now it's almost unwatchable.
i remember T1 being somewhat better. or at least T1 didn't have as many plot holes.

I remember when movies used to attract that many people. The last movie I went to that sold out was......believe it or not, "Wild Hogs". Even Avatar wasn't sold out when I saw it and I always go the Sunday after the Friday it firsts starts.

I remember waiting in long lines to see movies, like the Jurassic Park ones. Now there's barely a third of the theater full when I go.

This scene is about as iconic as it gets imo!

I love going into a movie that is special to you not knowing really anything going in. I did the same when TDK came out (not comparing of course :lol) T1 was a total jaw dropper for me so I wanted T2 to be the same. Good times!

There were some excellent theatre experieces as a young teenager ............

1989 Batman
1990 ____ Tracy
1991 T2
