Re: 19 years . . . today.

Went with my mom, dad and brother. Back then we would make family nights out of going to the movies and I can still remember seeing T2 like it was yesterday. A classic from day 1.

I remember ditching school to see the first show at the Century 21 and the drunks behind me tailgating making so much noise, annoying everybody and for some stupid reason belligerently yelling at the box office to "Open the doors already, you ____s!" ********* were passed out drunk in their chase lounges when they opened the doors and nobody woke them up. :lol

Re: 19 years . . . today.

The only film I watched with my family at the cinemas was SW Episode 1. Was in the lake district, remember it well, was elated at the time and the rest of the holiday. I was so obsessed about that film in the lead up to it I almost didn't want to watch it!

Re: 19 years . . . today.

I remember going to see this with my best buddy on the day of release in the UK. I was absolutely stoked. One of my favourite director's and the sequel to one of the best sci-fi thrillers ever made. I remember coming out of the cinema aghast at the cheese-fest I had just witnessed. :( :gah:

Robert Patrick was awesome though.

WASN'T TALKING ABOUT TV!!!!!!

I'd suggest going back a few pages and reading up on a topic before jumping into a discussion and winding up eating your own toejam footballs.:

hmmmn i m referring to this...

As to television, being widely more accessible to the underage, you would think they would have stricter standards. After all, one only has to push a button to watch TV vs. sneaking past theatre staff to attend a PG-13 film.

and i read the whole thread first. just addressing YOUR point about tv.

Re: 19 years . . . today.

Man its seems like yesterday i was looking at the orignal poster hanging on my recroom wall. Oh wait it was. I still have my copy of the orignal movie poster hanging in my pool room in one of those crappy suncoast movie poster frames.

Love this movie my favorite of all time.

One of the best movies ever made. I was too young when this came out though, I think I was about 6.

Have the dvd and love it.

Terminator 2 20th Anniversary 2011

Well, guys, galls and goons, it's the 20th anniversary of our favorite movie 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' this year, so what do you hope happens this year, or just share a fond memory, whatever. Boy, it sure is going to be neato, huh? All right, it's going to be a cool year ahead, let's go, men.

Re: Terminator 2 20th Anniversary 2011

Buying HT figures hopefully...which I initially thought this thread was about so I was a tad frustrated to find it wasn't.

Re: Terminator 2 20th Anniversary 2011

The year does seem a bit more special now knowing that, doesn't it? Before, it was just some other year. But now. . .don't know what I'm gonna do. Probably go jump out of an airplane or something to celebrate.

Psh! I'm gonna do 1000 backflips and go find Jesus just because of this! :D

Re: Terminator 2 20th Anniversary 2011

Correct me if i'm wrong but I remember seeing the film in the theaters when it first came out (on it's opening weekend) on Fourth of July weekend in 1991...so it technically isn't 20 years old...yet.

I said this in the thread he started last night (suggesting it get locked until July 3rd), but butter deleted it to make a new one with a poll. :monkey1

Re: Terminator 2 20th Anniversary 2011

I could have sworn I made a topic like this for T2's 19th anniversary and in it I specifically stated that next year (this year) would be it's 20th.

It was done with the intent of eventually being a 20th anniversary thread, obviously.

I can't find it at all.
