Given that HT's license with Marvel covers past, present, and future movie characters, I wouldn't be surprised to see some figures from the upcoming X-Men film. A Marvel character license is a cash cow, after all.

I haven't heard anything positive from my source, but as an agreement is in place, the figs could well be in the pipeline.

As always, the biggest "depends" is the success of the film!

Fox has an uneven track record with their Marvel flicks, so keep your fingers crossed. If I hear anything definite, I'll pass it on! (And tell Warchild to back off.)

Thanks for the info - another forum that I'm part of recently had a poll for a blu-ray collector set for First Class from Fox, so it did feel like they were testing the waters. A number of respondents indicated that they would only buy if they really liked the movie, which is somewhat typical I guess.

Yeah, I asked about this. Given that the movie wasn't a box office smash, and that a reboot/sequel is said to be soon-to-be, it seems like HT is waiting for the new version. They did do Ghost Rider, of course (another mediocre flick from the same hack director), so anything's possible, right?

Gully - there was a magazine interview with Howard a week or two back saying that there were about 2 more figures due from Iron Man 2 - any hope for a new Tony Stark or dare I say it - a new Mark 1 and 3?

I don't know---I'll have to check my source. Are you sure that one of the figures Howard meant wasn't the autopsy Mk. 2 suit?

I'd expect a Whiplash Mark 2 or a Hammer Drone before a Mark 1 or 3.

(Back when HT were gathering specs for the autopsy suit, they apparently got the specs for the final Whiplash suit as well, soooo . . . )

(But I don't know if a proto was/is made, or if it's going to see production.)

The interview was done to coincide with the release of specs for the new Mark 2, and 2 new figures are mentioned, one being a 'special edition'...could just mena the Whiplash MK 2...but I wouldn't mind a new Tony too.

If we get anything from First Class, I think we'll get Magneto and Professor X only.
