it appears it gets the big thumbs up!

Once again, I express my absolute 100% jealousy that you guys can see it now. I, and the rest of Australia, have to wait until April 5.

It does and it is 100% BAD ASS!!

My condolences that you have to wait that long! :monkey2

After a movie ok I can deal with that bt during the movie bugs me. People clap at the end of Plays and guess what they can hear you. Same with Sporting events players can hear you, so like I said WTF is with people clapping during a movie? What is the purpose? Maybe I am not geeky enough to understand it, but it seems to becoming an thing to do and well its just makes no sense to me and I have seen this happen at movies that have been out for weeks so its not fanboys and fangirls.
Well I don't know about you...but I've been counting down for this movie since December. I was so filled with excitement that I was driving my boss and friends crazy - I waited in line for over 2 hours to get good seats....there was an excitement and understanding between everyone there that we were about to witness something f'n amazing. We were blown away...in absolute awe....our expectations were high and this movie delivered...how can you not get caught up in the emotion and excitement...it was like an electrical current flowing through the audience...everyone was on the edge of their seat...it was like we were there....part of this amazing visual feast. I would have been VERY disappointed if I saw this movie opening night with a bunch of silent zombies....no thank you....this movie was made to be viewed as if you were watching a sporting event....so what if "they" the actors can't hear you....everyone else can and they feel your enthusiasm which just creates more enthusiasm amongst everyone else....it's a totally great group experience if you go with it and enjoy the moment...I mean if someone is having a loud conversation during a movie, then I hit them in the head...but cheering and clapping - that is what makes movies like 300 a complete movie watching experience.

People clapped when the ******* died as well in my showing. I didn't but I was with them in spirit and had no problem with it. I remember clapping after I saw ROTK during Trilogy Tuesday a couple times and at the end.

Just got back from 300.....

:rock:rock THIS MOVIE F'N RULES!!!!! :rock:rock

Hands down, the single best comic to film adaptation and now one of the best movies I have ever seen. Several scenes gave me goosebumps, the combination of excellent music and stunning imagery did it effortlessly.

I was 100% happy with every single scene, every frame of film and every word of dialog. Zack Snyder has done it, made a movie for the fans...:duff

Now I just want to go to the gym, Take my sword off the wall and swing that baby around a bit!! :lol

Hell Yeah!! :rock

I think those Spartan physiques left a lot of us feeling like we need to hit the gym! :lol

Yeah, I went and saw this today. It was totally 100% bad@$$. This movie is simply breathtaking, it's flawless. The art direction, the acting, all of it blends so well that nothing is left to be desired. I gotta admit, I wanna grab myself a spear and a shield and go fight. :lol

EVERYONE should see this movie, because it is so f'n sweet. Hands down, the best comic to film movie EVER. Yeah, I said it. :D

It was one of those times that you watched it start to unfold and knew you were seeing a classic in the making. I'm sure it will be one of those films that I watch over and over again. :rock

just saw it tonight....utterly stunning!

was a little worried as a large group of rowdy kids came in and were shouting and screaming throughout the trailers, thought i might have to lay some smackdown, but the minute it started, not a peep. Everyone was glued to the screen.

Some unbelievable fight choreography!! will see it again Monday because I'm off work, anyone got any reports on the imax experience of 300?

I have to agree. I loved every second of it, and at the same time I've never been more motivated to shed 20 lbs and hit the gym.

I couldn't believe the difference. I saw it Friday night in a regular theater. Well, better than regular, I suppose, because the theater has a digital projection system. George Lucas would be proud.

But this afternoon I saw the IMAX version and it was like DVD over VHS or HDTV over rabbit ears. I was noticing things all over the place that I didn't see last night--little details that I never would have picked up on a regular screen. If I had been bored (unlikely) I could have counted the individual hairs on King Leonidas' nipples. The quality of the print was astounding and the screen was just huge--Queen Gorgo's assets were literally the size of Volkswagens up there. Even more impressive than the huge crystal clear visuals was the sound. Insane sound. Best I've ever heard. This is the first time I have seen a "regular" movie in an IMAX theater (rather than a documentary) and I was simply not prepared for the sound quality. In the early scene where they enter a burning village, you could hear crackling and popping embers all around you and it was the most lifelike and immersive sound presentation I have ever heard in a movie theater. I would go watch it again in IMAX just to hear the soundtrack one more time. All of the thumps and crunches were amazing. In short, if you have an IMAX anywhere near you (I drove an hour to get to this one), you owe it to yourself to check it out. They were advertising the IMAX experience of Spider-Man 3 and it looks like I am going to be making the drive again in May.

Me too! I need to lose some weight before my wife sees this movie...

What a...hmmm....strange review Tom...

I would like to see it in IMAX though, it'd be fun. Maybe I can once I get home on spring break.

Haven't been able to see it yet though. I've been looking at the bad reviews though to see why they say it's bad. Kind of odd, they keep on saying it's like a video game, and I don't see it like that in the slightest bit, and most of the reviews are heavily opinionated or just poorly written. Looks like it'll be written off because it's not 'deep'. Stupid people.

Just got back from seeing it and it was glorious. Violence and ****ies are perfectly okay in my book :emperor :emperor Just can't wait to see it IMAX, they were all sold out last night :monkey2 Hopefully that will be next week. I also really feel like hitting up the gym now. PLUS, I want to find some persians and stab them with a spear.
