People just want to feel moral about something, so they will take a stand against something that has zero affect on their daily life.

i.e. "Recasting is wrong, by buying a recast you are "supporting" this horrible practice that is destroy our hobby", look at me I have high moral standards.

But when the "immoral" act can have a direct affect on their life, people aren't so moral.
