Still available at retailers eh? Well, I'd really like to find out where since im looking for a Snake and Superman . Send over the link to the retailers that have em.

I still don't understand how you are judging the fact that Medi figures are slow sellers by their progress on SIDESHOW's website :lol.

Im sure you know, the general SIdeshow public are not very quick to buy something Non-Sideshow, and part of the reason they are so into sideshow is the lower prices of the figures. The price alone is what keeps most of the US market from buying the Medicom stuff. People in Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, etc, they are all used to the Medicom prices and that is pretty much widely accepted there.

The Pelayo Rock Shop has them in stock. Just meet one of the co-owners behind the dumpster after 6 to pick up your product. :monkey3

Sorry, I had to do it ... the Devil made me :D

I am not knocking Medicom. I love the company. The produce great figures. Their prices are inline with all of other the collectible 1/6th figures in Japan (Mega House, Takara, etc). My only point was that Medicom is expensive because they are Japanese, and their price point and quality are inline with the rest on the Japanese market. I have been buying Medicom stuff since 1997 and Sideshow stuff since they were sold at Toys R Us. I am a fan of both companies. Medicom learned from their mistakes and that why they are going back to the top of the collector community (if not already). Hopefully Sideshow will listen and get back to the top as well (where both companies belong IMHO). I am still amazed by the Luke Yavin. He will be a pain in the rump to get (but he will be worth it, he that nice).

PS: all of you talking about licensing fees and pricing, you guys are all shooting in the dark. why even pretend to know anything about it? you dont.
Actually I am not shooting in the dark. I don't know exact figures but I have done research, yes I actually do that before saying stuff. Guess what the average deal is 12-14% of the profits, now the Star Wars deal Hasbro has is around 40% with a guaranteed 140 Million going to Lucasfilm.

How would you know that? I doubt this kind of information would be readily available to people like you and I.

I kinda wish I could see this peice with the hood up. I think it might make a difference as far as how the piece displays (as well as cover up a good portion of that huge mellon)

Actully its not to hard to find with some searching. Hasbro is publiclly traded comapany and they by law must disclose financial information.

Yup, very true. I learned this while taking a finance class in college as part of my major.

The only thing that really bugs me about Leia is the hands. Please Sideshow, why can't the female hands be as expressive and realistic as the male hands? This is the killer for me.

Just for fun, I decided to photoshop Leia's eyes straight to see what it does for the sculpt, I think it makes a difference.
