That the thing that guy said his wished he didn't sell Iminime figure, and its sub par to me, but this Iconic Toys one is worse so damn! It sounds pretty bad if its not as good as the Iminime figure.

So, in one guy's opinion, this figure isn't as good as the $450 hand-made unlicensed custom figure, so that's it?!?! Game over, go home guys, nothing to see here. . .

Well ok to please you sir, I'll say this its the best Neo figure so far, but for Iminime not his best figure. Sammy from Memento is painted so well, where as Neo needs glasses to hid his poor eyes. We don't know what the Iconic Toys figure looks like maybe it will look ok who knows. His opinion on a figure is no different than mine.

Collecting isn't a joke. It's like selling your hot toys iron man in anticipation for another iron man that's promised to be good and it turns out to be play imaginative.

Good thing I don't collect IM but with IM you have like 15 choices with Neo there really isn't many.

Do you have the Iminime figure Pop? It's a stellar figure. I wasn't impressed by the pics of the HS when I first saw it, but you have to hold the thing in your hand and move it around - in 360 degree glory it is a very, very good sculpt that photographs terribly. There's definitely nothing sub-par about the set - I would be very surprised to see a manufacturer better it.

I have seen the pics they submitted for approval. Dont asked me to share.

Apparently this is licensed and have been rework multiple times.

From what I have seen, The iminime Neo HS and overall figure is still the best. In fact this HS is kinda disappointing and i would actually rank it below the sunohc sculpt. It looks like a generic Neo if it makes sense.

With the shades on he looks decent but with shades off he looks like a generic older version of Keanu.

The coat detail is also wrong, especially the collar. It is missing the weird flap that the iminime version manage to get.

The boots are also sculpted so it got nothing on the SMcG boots.

Only plus is that this comes with all the weapons: m16, mini uzi, skorpians, mp5s, berettas and the harness looks better.

So keep your iminime Neo guys. It will and will still be the best lobby neo to come.

I actually sold mine because i was led to believe that this version will be far superior and it will be mass produced price.

Imagined my shocked when i saw the sample pics.

Part of me died that instant and it is a sell I regret every single moment.

I should have waited for the pics but i didnt cause it came from a solid source.

But this solid source has never seen an iminime Neo in person so I guess to a collector without an iminime Neo this iconic neo will suffice. For a collector with iminime neo, this doesnt stack up. Not even close.

From the picture I saw I thought the headsculpt was pretty good man, and I own the iminime Neo. But yeah I agree, it looked like an older Neo.

Good point Lejuan, I saw a video of a Evil1976 god I hope I got his name right he repainted the head, and the features are there I just wish someone had JC Hong's talent to paint the eyes, they are just a wee bit off. You are right that figures do look better in person and noisetrigger said that too, so that confirms what you are saying. But I don't live close to Frank and Son to see one in person, the only person that might own it that lives close to me is Sean Long but I'm not going to visit that guy

Ok guys, I didn't mean to send this thread into such a downer LOL.

What I was trying to say is, this is not a horrible Neo attempt by any means. Just that iminime raised the bar very high with their Neo and Iconic Toys, with official support has all the ingredients to actually do better and they didn't. I did review the pics again after I posted my view and felt that I may have been too harsh on Iconic Neo.

The pics I saw is the protoype and with the exception of the generic older Keanu headsculpt, sculpted boots and minor inaccuracy of the coat, the Iconic Neo looks fine, especially since it will be mass produced price.

Overall, I am sure a lot of us will be pleased with it as long as the final product is closed to the proto or better.

One can only imagine. This figure was supposed to be have been announced since middle of last year but went through multiple revisions and changes and the last proto pics that I saw was what I understood to be very close to final and that was back in May. I hope the hold up is because they are making changes to the HS. That is really my only gripe with the figure. The coat I can live with and SMcG boots you can still buy.

Looks good! I too have a Triad coat and will be using it with an iminime head (for a priest version).

As for Iconic, I'll be satisfied with anything Headplay quality or above ...
