I'm pretty cautious about getting excited for anything Neo. I remember when HT did their sentinel, even before that when they released the teaser, every assumed Neo and Co were in the works. And then nothing.

It's been mentioned elsewhere that the actors' likeness rights expired not long after the trilogy, hence the lack of official 1/6 product.

However the threezero CEO recently confirmed they were hoping to renew the rights.

mh, actually my neo custom figure was one of the cheapest i've done. it was actually even cheaper then any hot toys figure i've bought, including the iminime neo headsculpt so whoever is making a custom figure, won't loose here anything, it's just even better. everyone can upgrade with the stuff which will be offered. except, the quality is really better then the parts used for the custom figures.

Almost 3 years actually. I got my SMcG boots, the final piece to the puzzle, in January 2012. And the thread I started to get people together to kitbash him is from March 2011, almost 4 years. Time sure does fly.

As gboy said, I don't think the boots can be improved upon, and the shirt and repelling harness I have are as good as they can get as well, I think. I got my harness from Seb for free at the time, but I think there's some great room for improvement there. The new pants look like they got the detailing right, so I will likely upgrade those. I hope the coat has a nice cut, I have a shortened Triad coat with a wire added which I quite like, but it's also quite inaccurate. Finally, the sculpt. I still have the Headplay sculpt with my custom glasses, which both are simply outdated. They look good from afar, but up close, there's so much room for improvement.

I also spend a lot of money on him over the years, but building him myself was so much fun, I don't regret it one bit. Plus it gave me a good Neo for a couple of years. Here's a current shot of mine.

If Seb reads this, i'm sure he had some nightmares because of my over the last years . the SMcG boots are untouchable, it still scares me to look at them. the details are unbelievable on these and i highly doubt that anyone can get that high level on these. the pants are looking beautiful on this set, i might pick up the pants aswell, but other then this, i'll have to wait and see what the endresult is. but like you're saying, putting up this bad boy was really fun. only the waiting time killed me as i waited/worked on it more then 4 years. but even i've finished mine two weeks ago, i've clapped my hands when i saw this teaser last week. i'm really happy to see this coming and i really hope they will have a high standard. there can't be enough Neos out there

I really hope for a Trinity and Smith. Trinity a full figure, as it's hard to bash one. I have currently some parts for it, but still not satisfied with here, as i'm always not satisfied with ANY female figure. but she has some potential to be done very good. and it's more then overdue to have a good Smith figure.

It was a really FUN project -- can't believe it was so long ago. I think the Neo project and the Sallah project were my two most enjoyable projects so far on the board (that I can speak on).

I'm actually happy with mine too -- although that might change when I see this full figure. But more than likely I will simply get my missing coat and be done with Neo at least. What I'd really like is an accurate Smith to go along with him.

Thanks. But of course I tried to take a picture from the most flattering angle. From a profile view, the sculpt doesn't shine as much anymore.

I know I bugged Seb quite a bit back then about the harness as well.
I don't really see how much you can improve on your version, I agree that the pants are about the only thing. Unless they really, really nail the likeness.

I can't seem to find anything about this company or what their 1/6 line looks like. I'm a little skeptical to how accurate the head sculpt will be.

If Art Figures can do Judge Dreadd and Redman Rick Grimes, I see no reason to doubt that this Neo will be released.
