Ok, so now my thoughts.

First of all, I want to start by saying that when Aayla was first previewed on SS's site and then shown at SDCC, I hated her. I did not really like one thing about her.

Then when in hand pics started showing up, she eventually started to grow on me.

Now, that I have her, I have to say I am very happy I got her. She is very well done, maybe not perfect, but definitely very nice. Mine is painted well, with no sloppiness in her face, eyes that are looking determined in the same direction and nicely done lips and brows.

While looking at her, I don't notice any sloppiness to her brown bands on her head that you may notice in a camera photo, and I really like her skin tone. It's definitely darker and less vibrant than in my pictures, and in this case, I think that is a good thing.

The light saber is awesome and the light up effect is top notch. I had no issues getting her arm in, nor any issues in getting the light saber to light up fully right away.

The fabric elements are good, and do really look nicer in person than in photos. The pants kind of show up with more red tones in them in pics, than actually look to my eyes. While they aren't the best fabrics Sideshow has done, I don't have any issues with them.

The one little negative thing that I have to say, is that I'm not a big fan of the color of green they used on the plants in the base. It's a little fake looking, even for plants that are supposed to be from a make believe planet.

All in all, I definitely like Aayla a lot and have no regrets buying her. My only regret at all, is that I don't have my Darth Talon to go with her any longer (but hopefully that problem will be solved soon ;))

I felt the same way initially. I really wasn't interested enough when proto pics were first released. But, as the Aayla PF got closer to release, I studied the pics more and just warmed up to it.

Nice write up and thanks for the feedback.
The pics look great! :hi5:

congrats !... even I have have to say that your eyes doesnt seam to be looking straight in your pictures..

I never realized how tall the Aurra Sing PF was!

Looks good together.

By the way, I always wondered what that rod was sticking out of Aurra's head. :D

Aayla and Aurra, at least until I can maybe find Darth Talon again!

Did you own talon before? What happen to it if you did? Btw great pic!

Hey I see in the pic of Aayla's saber when lighted up. Is the tiny tip on the saber suppose to stay dark? Or is the full saber suppose to light up from bottom to the tip?

I did own her back when she first came out and sold her because I wasn't into Star Wars.

:slap yes I do the same all the time. Lose interest, sell it. Then buy it back down the road for more. Talon looks stunning next to Aayla! Your cabinets looks great! I wish I had so much space to put each statue in one shelf space.
