Don't have a point. Just saying that to me it looks like a fluorescent bulb, not energy beam. That is why she's still in the box, that's all.

The rest I love. Looks better than she did in the promo pics, I had the feeling she would look good.
Her problem was that people compared her to the half naked Talon and Tii. Not her fault she's wearing 'boring' brown clothes, long pants etc. Blame Lucas I bet she would have been met with much more excitement if originally dressed in a more revealing, bikini-esque outfit .

I have it, but still can not decide if it will be opened, or re-sold.
As opposed to most here, I do NOT like the new light up feature on her. Maybe because it's blue, not red. Every time I see the lit saber, it looks like she is holding a neon or fluorescent light bulb. I can clearly see the walls of the tube, as well as it's tip.
The old style, although didn't have as intense glow, were easier perceived by me as energy beams instead of a solid glass tube filled with light.
Maybe it will grow on me....

You´re not alone. For me the new lightsabers are very strange too. The light is better, but the aspect of the lightsaber himself is a little false. I´m dissapointed with the change, now I will have a mix of old lightsabers and news ones ???

The statue is cool, but don´t see Amy Allen in the face sculpt.

1st Aayla Secura Premium Format broken, 2nd one non-functional

I have been a long time SS collector. Never have I had ANY problem with anything I have ever bought from them. 15 PF's, dozens of 12" scale figures, statues, maquettes, etc. However with this Aayla Secura I have had NOTHING but problems.

I ordered the Ex. version day one and got #89. When the first one that I had sent to me the hand on the body was broken off.
Then when I plugged it in it made this humming/crackling sound inside the body and the lightsaber only went about 1/2 way then burnt out completely.

I called SS and talked with Daniel who was great. I sent him the pictures and he told me that I would be sent out a new one right away. Being that this was the first time I have ever had to return anything I was extremely happy with the results, especially due to the fact that this is not only for me, but it is a Christmas/engagement gift for my "hopefully" fiance'. Kind of a "lets start collecting together for the rest of out lives" sort of thing, and seeing as how her favorite character is Aayla Secura it was perfect.

So, tonight I got the "replacement" and was thrilled. I unboxed it, inspected it, and assembled it. Put the batteries in, pressed the button and.... Nothing. Then I plugged it in, pressed the button and.... Nothing... AGAIN!!! Took the batteries out, left it plugged in, pressed the button and F$%#@ NOTHING!!!!!!! I even tried one of my power adapters from my HIC PF, NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

So now my plans of a proposal with my gf's favorite character is broken! And to make matters worse, SS won't be open until after Christmas.

Now, I know that these things happen, but come on two in a row!!! To make matters worse, the family already knows about this and I just feel crappy, pissed, etc. Also, it's not like I can pawn it off like she won't know that it's supposed to light up. "Yeah hun, I would like for you to marry me and to prove how much I love you here is a broken statue of your favorite character. And oh yeah, this is the second one."

I actually feel like selling off all my SS because of this. I know it's a "little" thing with the saber not igniting but then again for the price I paid for it it is a pretty damn big thing! Couple it with I was going to have Aayla holding her ring... I just don't know what to do.

Damn, so sorry to hear that.

You still have to let SSC know the replacement is no good. That's just unacceptable.

Now, what to tell your gf/fiance... that's the tough part.
Perhaps you should still give her the Aayla with the statue holding the ring, but let her know that the lightsaber is not working. Tell her you're going to get it replaced as soon as SSC is back from Christmas break.

Another option... don't tell her about the Aayla PF, but get it replaced ASAP. Quickly think of some other way to propose to her, like take her to the first place where you two hooked up.

Sorry to hear that leland.
I too had lighting problems in the beginning as well.
After reseating her a few times it started to work.
Also her saber arm had some wiggle so I needed to double check none of her fabric was interfering with a proper connection.
