Dogs also eat cat $h!t, how far do you want humans to take cues from the animal kingdom? Youre swerving into dangerous territory.
Classic survival of the fittest stuff. Whats next, kill all the infirm because of the financial burden on society?
Dont forget Steve Hawking, euthanasia candidate numero uno.

Nazi Germany was progressive that way as well.

You inspired me :D

I usually don't get personal, my mother was going to have an abortion. She was 18, and couldn't afford to have a kid. Luckily, my real parents talked her out of it and adopted me when I was born. So as someone who wouldn't be here I feel abortion is a pretty shakey issue, but I also understand why it's there. I understand that people are going to be in situations where they really can't have a kid, wheater it's because of rape or just irresponsibilty.

Unfortuantely it seems alot of the cases just seem to be irresponsibility, and there are women who treat it like buissness as usual so I do hope that if anything this issue will bring some enlightenment to those who don't stop and think about what they are doing, but i certainly do not agree with the methods of either of the men invloved in this particular situation.

To say it doesnt affect men is a wrong statement however, if my wife wanted to have an abortion and it was I who impregnated her, you better believe I'd have something to say about it. And as I said, I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my dad who agreed to give his time, his money, and his love to some unborn stranger.

Yeah, they all sit in the pews on sunday loading their automatic weapons as they get fire and brimstone messages/marching orders from on high.
:duh

Who do you think runs and funds those gospel missions in the city feeding and giving shelter to the addicted, homeless and jobless?
Not everyone is helped by big govt tax payer funded programs.
Who sends missionaries to developing countries to dig wells for villages in Africa?
My church just sponsored 50 poverty stricken children in various countries until they reach the age of 18.
Thats no small financial commitment by our churches sponsoring families. I guess they decided to forgo buying more guns and ammo instead.

Seems the "ignorance" is just as great on the other side of the fence as well.

I love my faith and try to be the best at it I can be. I love what many of the churches do around the country. That being said I always find it funny that the religous right are always telling folks how they should live their lives.

We have laws for a reason that tell us what to do and we have the bible that we can live by if we so choose. I don't find it the given right of the religous right to tell me how I should live. Thats my call to obey the laws I mentioned and if I don't then I pay the price one way or the other.

You rarely see a pro-choice person shoot someone who is pro life.

This all being said I'm pro-choice within reason. I'm not for late term abortions or using it as a form of birth control.

you could subtract the word religion and add politics also:angelsmil

This thread is lasting a lot longer than I expected

Here is a better one:

Man is the religious animal. He is the only religious animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion -— several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat, if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven.

- Mark Twain

As long as everyone can discuss the topics civilly I don't think the Mods mind. It's been pretty smooth so far. Let's keep the respect going. :rock

Love the sig. I wonder if its just that the Mods haven't noticed.

Sorry, Im not impressed by societies or governments that have tried to excise religion or faith from there borders or squelch their participation in public dialog.
These entities perpetrate as many evils as great or greater than those of "faith."
...and all in the name of the "greater good".

This thread rocks!:rock...........now can someone start another one about assisted suicide!?....
